Cruise ship music and loops

Does DCL have a music loop on the ships like parts of the parks do. Is there music for sale on the ships that is unique to the ship?

I know they have music in the stateroom hallways. Don't know about CDs specific to DCL.

I think the only CD that they sell is a recording of twice charmed on the Disney Magic. Otherwise the only Disney Cd's you will find are the generic ones and the theme park ones.

it is my understanding that they are not available....why? who knows!

I love that background music stuff when we have gatherings. I bought the "classical" interpretations of Disney music cd...there a re 2 I believe...NICE.

Also, there are many instrumental versions of Disney music available for purchase. Not the same thing but nice mood setters

I wish they had the soundtrack for Disney Dreams.

I recently asked the merchandise hostess aboard the Wonder, and she said, no there is no soundtrack for sale.
She did comment that many people ask.

My friends and I discovered that at least two different soundtracks seem to be running at the same time.
We were waiting for an elevator, listening to one piece of music, and as we boarded the elevator, it was playing a different piece.

My personal guess, at least for the Wonder, is that many pieces played are from motion picture soundtracks, and not all of them are Disney.

I imagine it would be impractical to try and wrangle all the rights for these various non-disney pieces.

At one point, the stateroom hallway music was the Classic Disney 5 disk set. But they have added more songs to the mix including Hanna Montana and jimmy buffet.

As for the stage shows, they don't have CDs of those songs... Who knows why, they could make a lot of money on those...

But for cruise music... Check our Beauty and The BEAT( they are steel drums players who do disney songs) and The Classic Disney COllection (125 of the most favorite Disney SOngs when it was produced) as well as Jimmy Buffet...

They played Track number 35 from the CD below in the hallways where the shops are...I saw it on Youtube before I went on my cruise, and heard it on my cruise as well....Here's the title of the CD, you can find it on Amazon...Google the below text and it will come up.

One year they actually sent a CD out to your home after the cruise called Shore Survival Kit with such hits as Carefree Castaway Cay, Conch Cooler Chill out and Serenity Bay while the Kids are Away. I still have the songs now on my Samsung S4.

On our last Dream cruise we heard tons of Tangled music from the sountrack. For some reason that really stuck out to me - I loved it. Then on the Magic after that they had that soundtrack plus Brave music.

In other words, I remember there being lots of sountrack music played in the hallways.
