While I'm waiting for the bulk of the pics to upload on Youtube I thought I'd share some fun things about the cruise...

1. Dont go on your birthday, they just kick you off! :sad2:

2. Dont go hungry during a bomb scare, there is absolutly NO buffet in the Carnival Cruise Line parking lot!

3. Deck 4 is a great covered walking deck...

In fact in each cabin there is a photo of Walt and Lillian on such a deck..

But if you walk all the way forward you can get a peek into some of the inside workings of the ship, lots of chains and anchors! pirate:

4. Of course I laughed and thought of you guys and said why not? Get some pics of the bathrooms!

On the ship....

On the island.....

5. It seems you can get married on the island....Option #1, a pier next to a bar!

Option #2 is the beach....yes there was a wedding there the day we arrived.

6. I really need to speak to Shrek about modern things, they do provide a nice place to wash the sand off of your feet!

But NOOOOOO! He has to go all ghetto on me and use this!:lmao:

Overall it was a great time! I'll post the rest of the pics as soon as they are uploaded!

:goodvibes

Glad you're home safe! (tho you're probably sorry to be back!)

Can't wait to hear more -- what do you mean, they kick you off on your birthday?? :confused3

Welcome back!

Hope you had fun on the boat!

By the way, when you said you were going to get "bombed" on the cruise, I assumed you meant that you were going to drink a lot. :confused3 Who did you tell that got it confused and send the explosives experts?

Welcome back, O'Mike! Happy Birthday! ::yes::

The photos are great. Looking forward to seeing more of them.

Foodie report too, right? :teeth:

Oh, I don't need photos of food, just complete descriptions! :teeth: :teeth:

Steak and Seafood to die for! Steak was always cooked chard on the outside, pink to red on the inside! French Onion soup, so hot I have the scars on my tongue still from the cheese! Desert Sampler plates that even I (as a non desert eater) died for! The buffets were clean, and fresh! Crab claws one day, shrimp and prime rib the next! All you can eat pizza, wraps, pinnini's, burgers, dogs, fresh fruit, soda and coffee.....Are ya full yet?

Different dining room every night, same excellent servers! The service was outstanding! Everyone called us by name, remembered what we liked to eat and drink! (Shrek had some special shrimp made for him one night because a chef overheard him telling someone else that was what he really wanted!) Magic and Class! The next night the server brought shrimp from the other restaurant for Shrek and other people at our table because they knew they liked it! You dont find service like that many other places, WDW included!

The party on the island had Mahi, Ribs, Chicken, and well a Mai Tai or two!:thumbsup2

Then there is the late night party and buffet!

The only thing I think they need to improve on is the lifeguard situation...:confused3

Mike, did you make the utube video? I'm hiring you for the next thing I need made!!!!

Glad you're back...Wally was bossy!

Mike, you are a hoot!!!! LOVE the videos! How did you find the time to make them, what with all the post-vacation laundry and all?? :confused3 Whatever -- they are totally fab. Keep 'em comin'!

Laundry and yard (swamp) work today!

I can tell you I was NOT amused today when I had to make my own coffee! :sad2:

One more fun thing. When you pull into Castaway Cay, try to grab a coffee and watch the show on the deck! As soon as the ship pulls in a small army goes about unloading everything they need for the day! Food, Booze, Lifeguards, servers, towels, souvenirs, EVERYTHING! It's an amazing thing to watch! And just a short 15 minutes later the dock is clear, Jimmy Buffet is turned on, Mickey leaves the ship, and the dock is "show ready" for the first guests leaving the ship!

Something only Disney can do! :thumbsup2

I'm bitter, cuz on the Castaway Cay day on MY cruise, the choppy water prevented us from docking. :sad2: Can you just skip that part of your report, or at least make it sound kind of unappealing, to make me feel better?

Glad you had a good time Mike:goodvibes
Reality is always so dreary after DCL spoils you isn't it?:rotfl:
Fun photos! I have to track down my friend Chris and see if he will post a photo of the drawing above the urinals in the men's room at Palo. It totally cracks me up! Did you make it to Palo's? Tell me you did and saw this picture!?:lmao:
I am actually not overly thrilled with Palo's except for the souffle which is so yummy:love:

:thumbsup2Will try to keep this in mind Mike, thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

3. Deck 4 is a great covered walking deck...

This is one of my favorite places on the ship. Did you get a chance to relax in one of those cushy blue chairs? :goodvibes

Hey Mike!!! And Welcome back! Love the video! Looks like you had a great time!!!!!

Did you make it to Palo's? Tell me you did and saw this picture!?:lmao:

Not this trip, we only did a three day, one night for each of the other restaurants, so we opted to just do those, and leave Palo for those who really wanted it.

Did you get a chance to relax in one of those cushy blue chairs? :goodvibes

For about an hour one night! :rotfl2: I kept getting up and watching the water below! Soooo relaxing! (And the bars are only one deck down, so you can run down and grab a cocktail if you want one!)

Personally I think you made a good choice. I am an oddball and really don't like Palo all that much (otehr than the souflee but I can and do make that at home--so even that is not a huge draw to me) and prefer to stay in the main dining rooms. WE use Palo only when it gives us a chance to dine with friends we are otherwise not seated with on the cruise (or for tea--I do love the tea:thumbsup2).
So which dining room was your favourite?:confused3

Tritons is probably my favorite, its more formal than the other two.

Great pictures and video! Thanks for sharing them.
