I think the weather would be better in April. Not on
DCL, but my spring breaks are in March, and for 2 different cruise lines when we were supposed to tender into their private island, we couldn't get in, the waves were too choppy. Now, Disney pulls into it's private island, but there have been times that they cannot get into that port.
We have taken our DGC and family on 3 night DCL cruises. On the first, they had a 3 night stay before and then a 1 night stay after largely because the 5th Dimension were going to be in WDW and I wanted to see/hear them. For the second cruise we just had a 1 night SSR THV stay before, and then the cruise.
Both ways were fine.
Cruises are all inclusive as far as basic food, soft drinks except when bought at a bar. Room service is included. Disney cruises do have a special dining room where there is an additional charge. You are given a "tip suggestion" and it's more or less understood that if you cruise you will tip certain people.
Have fun on your cruise. Go to the cruise board and you'll see lots of people's answers to questions you don't even know you have!
