In the van on the way home from A GREAT trip to WDW (OKW) and need some advice re cruising. We have never done a Disney cruise, but would like to take DS on cruise for HS graduation in 2112. Here are our questions:
Can you pay for cruise with part cash and part points? We will only have about 350 points but we have 3 kids so we know that is not enough points.
Also, what kind of cabins will sleep 5? We want as small (a/k/a cheap) as possible but don't know if you have to get a bigger cabin for 2 parents, a 17/18 yr old, a 15/16 yr old and 11/12 yr old.
Finally, does Disney cruise to caribbean in summer? DW and I have cruised Carib twice on other lines.

One more ? - on DVC member.com it says we can book a cruise 24 months in advance, but I can't find any itineraries for 2112. How does that work? Thanks for the help!!

You can pay for a person with $$$ or points, not both. So, you could pay for the adults with points and the kids with $$$.

They have cabins that sleep 5 but it may make sense economically to get two small rooms, possibly adjoining or across the hall. Also it may make sense to pay for one with $$$ and the other with points. You have many options.
We went with adjoining Cat 9s which will actually sleep 8. That way you have two double bathrooms and you can shut the door between you and the kid for privacy. Other people to save money go with a porthole room and an inside room accross the hall. This would probably work well for you considering the age of your kids. When you register you have to put an adult in each room but they do not care where you actually sleep. You can have your key cards adjusted when you get on board to open the door of the cabin you actually sleep in.

In 2011 they do not have Caribean cruises. They only are running three ships (1 alaska, 1 europe and 1 Bahamas). They will be announcing the 2012 schedule in about a week or two and you can check then if there are carribean cruises.

In a week or two the itineraries will be posted for 2012. Yes, you can book two years out, if there are posted itineraries.
