Cruise Questions

My mom and I are going on the pin trading cruise that is scheduled to set sail 5/16. Can't wait. I have been reading peoples experiences and sometimes they mention a free gift. Do you only get that if you are a return cruiser? Also people have said that the best place to snorkel is at the adult beach on Castaway Cay, I love to snorkel but I am only 17 years old. Do you think they could make an exception? Thanks

dizgurl, I cannot speak for the adult beach but I snorkeled to see the Mickey statue underwater. It was really far. I have to say though, we had awesome snorkeling at Trunk Bay, on the St. John excursion. Snorkel on CC but the fish I saw were not as colorful as Trunk Bay.

If someone can tell us, are there more fish, more colorful fish on the adult side of CC? I only saw white with yellow.

FYI, some people brought along cheese in a can and the fish were wild for it!

The cheese in the can is Easy Cheese and my DH uses it every time he snorkels.

Others will disagree, but if you are quiet and with your mom, I don't see why you couldn't go to the adult beach. I have heard from these boards there is a sunken airplane or ship straight out from the cabanas that attracts a lot of fish!

I normally am strict in my opinion of the sanctity of the adult areas, but if you could pass for 18 and are acting "adult," I can't imagine that anyone would say anything. My main reason for loving the adult beach is the peace and quiet, and if that is maintained, I am happy!

Normally you can find it by lining yourself up with the first massage cabana and heading straight out, but for some reason he could not find it on our last trip. He did, however, meet a barracuda! This is the second time. I think he attracts fish...we have a campground near our home that has a public beach, and everyone else can be peacefully enjoying the water, but he is jumping around the yelling because the fish are biting him.

Thanks for all the info. One of the reasons I want to be on the adult beach is because I want some peace and quite. I don't think I could find that on the teen and family beaches. I don't know if I will try the easy cheese or not because I don't know if they would let me on the plane with it. Thanks again
