Cruise price increase?

Are current fuel costs to blame for the drastic cost increase for fireworks cruises? If not then...what/why? I think the Breathless was $180. Now it's $250! I think this has been officially removed from our "to do" list now.

I doubt fuel prices has as much to do with that as demand. One thing to keep in mind is that there are very few opportunities for such wonderful experiences, and for many guests, no expense is too much, given that, for them, this is a once in a lifetime vacation. These prices reflect what the experience is worth to them.

As stated above it is a supply and demand. Since there are very few and a once in a lifetime experiance for many of us. The cost is not so bad if you have a full boat load and divide the cost. I got to do the Illumination cruise a couple of years ago and it was a memory I will never forget. I am praying I get to do a WISHES cruise this time around. Yes I do would not spend 250.00 just for myself but being able to share makes it possible for me. There are a lot of wonderful Dis'ers here who are willing to share this experiance with others. I peronally thank the family who made it possible for me to share their cruise.

I think it was demand as well, the prices went up almost a year ago. We were lucky to get an Illuminations Cruise a few weeks before the prices went up and it was amazing! I'd love to do it again, even with the higher price.

Well, we did the Illuminations cruise at the old price when it worked out to $10 per person, and did not think it was worth even that for the sub-standard view. Maybe that will help you feel better about crossing it off your list!
