Can somebody help me? I am very confused when trying to read the point chart for the disney cruise.
For example:
For the 7 day eastern carribean cruise during the value season, a catagory 4 deluxe family stateroom with varandah is 237 points. Is that per person, per day ? or for the stateroom for the entire cruise? How do they work in children?
One more question, what size stateroom do you reccommend for 2 adults and 3 children ages 12,7,and 7.
Thanks for your help!!!

The point value is per adult for the first two occupants. There should be a list at the bottom of the point sheet that shows the point price for additional adults and children.

With 5 people you will either need to book one Cat 4 or two Cat 10s. I personally like the idea of two Cat 10 cabins, many time its works out cheaper than one Cat 4 cabin and you get two full bath rooms. If you 12 year old is a girl - that second bathroom is a necessity.

It is my understanding that the plans for the third ship will be more accomodating to families of 5.

thanks for the info, and yes the 12 year old is a girl!!!

cat 4 two adults 237points each,
12year old 85 points, 2-7 year old 85 points each:

total 729 points for 7 day cruise plus $75 fee

--------------------------------------------------------------

cat 10 2 rooms
2 adults 129 points each first room

12 year old and 7 year old (i believe in each room you still have to pay for 2 adults, whether they are children) 129 points each

7 year old 58 points

total: 574 points for 7 day cruise plus $75 fee( i have read ms has charged the $75 fee for each cabin and i have read ms has charged $75 fee for both cabins being it is one ressies.)just make sure you explain it is one ressises:boat:

I realize your children are too young for this option, but for those looking to have some privacy or with 5 people, this provides another choice.

Twice in the past I have booked a category 6 with verandah and directly across the hall a category 11 inside stateroom. My girls are happy to have their own bathroom, and can visit my room to utilize the verandah. It gives us the best of both worlds! :)

Your 12 yr old girl should be old enough to look after the two 7 yr olds (provide she is properly bribed) if they are just across the hall. You have too many for one cabin if one is a 12 yr. old girl. You all want to come back friends. Need I mention that Mom and Dad may need a little privacy also. I am sure that you don't want to hear any giggling about a "Little souvenir."
