Hi,

We are planning to use some of our points for a cruise in 2008 (we do realize this is not always the best use of points). The points charts only show the values through CAT 4 rooms.

Does anyone have an estimate as to the number of points per person for a CAT 3 suite? I know it depends on the season, etc. but we are just looking for a range (i.e. we don't know if it will be 400 or 1000 points).

Thank you.

Hi--
I haven't seen the 2008 points at all, and I just called MS, and they said they don't have them yet-- may I ask where you saw them?
I am hoping to get some info on the Panama Canal cruise in Aug 2008.

We have not yet seen points chart for 2008 either. I was just hoping that someone who has cruise on points in a suite in the past could geve me an example of what they paid at the time. I realize the numbers won't be exact but we are just trying to get a general idea.

Thanks again.

Not all categories are available for points reservations.

Since the Cat 3 isn't listed on any of the 2007 charts, it may not be available for points.

My advice is to call MS and ask if Cat 3 is included for 2007 and just not reflected on the charts. If cat 3 isn't available for 2007 cruises, it's a good bet it won't be available in 2008 either. (FWIW, the charts for 2005 & 2006 only went up to cat 4, too).

Maybe someone knows if Cat 3 cabins have been available for points in the past - I really don't know for sure. I just remember that not all categories are.

The category 3 cabins are available on points, however, you must call MS for a quote on the number of points. I don't believe they have ever included them on the cruise points charts. Good luck!
