Cruise Nov. 2016

Looking at booking the Disney Cruise on Nov. 3 for 6 days. It leaves from NYC and ends in PR. Never done a cruise the starts or ends in PR. Any experiences with this?

We did a RCCL cruise some years ago starting and ending in San Juan , PR. We booked an extra night in San Juan at the end of the cruise. What a great city! Fun to walk around, see the sights, the shopping was GREAT! The most fun thing was there were musical groups in random courtyards playing music. A crowd would gather and everyone was dancing, happy and having a great time! In all my years of travel I have never seen that. I would return there in a minute!!

A Jessica said, San Juan has great shopping, resorts, the old city is great to walk though. If you can do it I would spend a few days there after the cruise.

I did a Disney Cruise in September 2014 from Barcelona to San Juan, PR. I made sure that I stayed in PR for four extra days after my cruise since I never been there before. I had a wonderful time exploring Old San Juan, shopping and the food was amazing! I also booked my own bioluminescent bay kayaking excursion which was also amazing (you should definitely look into doing this) and something I would definitely do again. Definitely a lot to do in PR.

This subject caught my eye because we are also planning a cruise for November of next year and are considering the 5-day that leaves from San Juan and returns to Miami. I've just started looking into it. If we could, we would do a BTB starting in NY with the 6-day you're considering followed by the 5-day.
