Cruise Meet -April 21, 2012 - 7 Night Eastern Caribbean

We just left Disney yesterday and already want to turn around! The further we drive the colder it gets...

200 days till we set sail...tomorrow we will be in the 100's..haha:rotfl:!

Nice video! I like how he said "changes from the Dream" (twice)...I hope an improvement in pool space. There is a rumor about adding a small extra one. The skyline lounge is bigger. When we first walked in there I couldn't believe how small it was, the pictures were deceiving. Not that I thought it needed to be bigger, but that is a nice touch.

Well, It looks like I have a room that is going to be upgraded. I changed my room 3 times when we could get a cheaper verandah category. It nows looks like I have an extended verandah and didn't even know it:rotfl:. Silly me. I was just trying to save a few bucks and struck gold:banana:.

The new areas look fabulous! I am looking forward to the aft/adult only wading pool. Looks very peaceful out there!

I read on here that the tea price went up. Which directly doesn't bother me, because we are coffee people not tea. My concern is...I hope they are not raising the prices of dinner and brunch. I can't imagine the 3 experiences being the same price.

Anybody doing excursions and booking them yourself (not through DC?) I can't decide what to do, we haven't been to either of these stops. On CC we will probbaly just do the getaway package, like we tend to do.:)

I'm looking for recommendations too! I've never been on a Disney cruise or to any of these ports. I would love to hear any pros or cons on any excursions others have booked in the past, Disney or not. TIA:jumping1:

Well, when I went I was taking my mother along, so I had to go on easy ones, basically tours.

In St. Maarten, we took the Butterfly Farm/Island tour. You get a tour of the island, a 45-minute stop in Marigot on the the French side for some shopping, and then a visit to the Butterfly farm. Everything was beautiful and I got some great pictures of butterflys.

At St. Thomas, we took another island tour, stopping at several places for photo ops (including one stop where someone had a donkey), ending with a visit to St. Peters great house, which was filled with breathtaking views of the island.

I'm actually hoping this time to go on the Sea Trek Helmet dive in either St. Maarten or St. Thomas. If I do it in St. Maarten, was then going to go to St. John while at St. Thomas.

I just can't decide!

YAY! Just moved my dummy date to a summer cruise on the Fantasy for 2013. Gotta love dummy dates! It is for June 8th, so now when I leave the Fantasy in April I will know I will see her again the next year!:lmao:

We were thinking of doing that excursion as well. I can't remember which port we were leaning towards. I'll have to re-read the material. It will all depend on finances. There is a good possiblity that I may be layed off in the near future. :scared1:

We are in a budget lockdown in our house trying to put as much into savings as possible in case the dreaded occurs and we are also discussing if that means cancelling the trip entirely or just the pre-cruise portion. Every week that the company stays open and I'm employed means that much more money in the savings account.

I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.

Good luck! How stressful!

I can't wait for the cruise. I'm head to Disney World for Food and Wine this Thursday the 27th- Sunday the 30th, so that will help pass some time.
