Milliepie-
Am loving that new avatar of yours! ;) That's exactly how I picture you after slaving away on all these requests! :rotfl:
Mindy

Hi again-
Can I please slip in a few requests before you leave us? :flower3: If you don't have the time, I understand completely and will instead eagerly await them when you return. :goodvibes

I would like the Christmas Book (I think that's what you called it), with the following:
left hand page - Wonder Christmas Cruise 2010
right hand page, top - Disney Wonder
December 23-30th, 2010
right hand page under flowers - The Conrads
Mindy, Don, and Casey

Second would be the Mickey on the sofa of the cabin:
The Conrads:
Mindy, Don, and Casey
"I've been waiting for you to come back."
(not sure about the punctuation on this one, my memory can be leaky at times ).

Third would be two of the ICE signs:
One with the Mickey Bars, top heading to read "Mindy's Private Stash"
Another with Konk Koolers (I think I saw that one, if not, let me know), top heading to read "Don and Casey's Stress Relief"

Saw DS this weekend and was able to give him his Bulletin Board you created for me. He was thrilled (in a cool 21 year old kind of way :cool2:) and it's now hanging up in his dorm room to remind him there are better days on the horizon. Thanks again for that! Hopefully, it will also take his mind off his aching muscles. It was a fantastic, but tiring, weekend! :thumbsup2 Any day that ends with a medal is okay in my book!

Thanks for all you do to wipe out naked cabin doors! :rotfl:

I have all kinds of time to do them. It's the lack of desire that i am fighting. I keep telling myself 18 more days and i can take a break.

I didn't have a Konk Kooler design but i did have a separate Konk Kooler i made for another design still so i made you one up quick.

Your son got the medal? What did he get it in? Was this something on his own or is he on scholarship in a sport? Sorry, so many questions:)

Hi Jordak! I believe you designed a logo for our April 4, 2011 Mango Rum Run onboard the Dream! I kind of hoped you could modify the original wording. I hate to be a party pooper but I was late to the discussions on threads regarding the totes and I was wondering if there is any way I could change some of the original wording of the tote? I seriously dont want to be difficult, but I want to omit the "mouseketeers" on mine. So, I was thinking of something like this instead (although I have not spaced it out or anything)

Minnie’s Mango Rum Run

I am so the most uncreative person around and I wouldnt even know how to go about creating a file much less a design, but if you could help me out I would be forever grateful! Thanks!
Just let me know and we can go from there! Again, THANK U

I did two different layouts for them. Design was the same but placement of the text was different so i don't know which one they ended up going with but here is the last one i saved.

This what was decided on, except I dont care for the "mouseketeer" part and was wondering if that could be omitted.

This link will bring up the image...if you click on the image it will do a higher resolution one...

Let me know what you can do! Thanks in advance! And I so appreciate your quick response! You rock! :)

These are so great! :worship: I absolutely LOVE that Christmas book design. And thanks for doing up the Konk Kooler special for me. That must be another one of those things I dreamed up and thought really happened!! :rotfl:

I understand about the motivation thing. The last few weeks before I go see Mickey, work goes out the window. All I want to do is think about/get ready for the trip.

I don't mind the questions, in fact, I am so jazzed that I welcome them! Just as quick background, my son is a distance runner, and has been since Middle School. Absolutely LOVES running. Don't know where he got that from. :confused3 Couple years back I had some health issues that required me to get serious about losing a bunch of weight and getting in shape. And it took some time, but I did it. With my son's encouragement, I started a serious walking plan. January of 2009, DS ran his first Half Marathon at WDW, with his proud parents in attendance. We had such a blast at Marathon Weekend, I decided to set myself a goal of doing the 5K (as a walker) at WDW the following year. Fast forward to this past January, and I did my first 5K, and got my first medal! Woo Hoo! :cool1: In September I also did the Castaway Cay 5K. This year, Hershey PA decided to hold their first Half Marathon event. DS was thrilled to find one close enough to college to participate in. Mindy was thrilled to find out they had a "relay" option that allowed you to do the race as part of a team, with each person doing half the mileage (DH not as thrilled with that, as he was elected to be the other half of the team :lmao:). My long term goal is to do an entire Half Marathon at WDW in 2012, so this was a great opportunity to try an intermediate length race. This past weekend was race weekend. DS ran the entire race, and bested his time he did at WDW. DH and I walked, and I beat the time I was shooting for by 15 minutes. I am still on an adrenaline rush! :cloud9: Oh, and DH survived the ordeal, and surprised himself by enjoying it all (although I beat his time by 6 minutes)! So we all have medals, and sore muscles. But it was totally worth it!!! :thumbsup2 None of us came in first, or anything close, but most of these races give you a medal if you finish in the allotted time frame (they almost all have pace requirements). But for me, finishing was the goal (although, to brag a bit, my DS finished fifth in the 5K at WDW in January).

Aren't you sorry you asked?? Like I said, I'm still jazzed about the whole thing, so I tend to get carried away talking about it! One of my co-workers asked me if, two years ago, I ever imagined the path my life has now taken. Like I told her, never in a million years. But it's all good. ;)

That's awesome! I am glad i did ask. Very cool. I used to run cross country in high school but soon as that was over i pretty much quit running and took up cycling for awhile. I do a lot of walking every night now with some running mixed in. Just enough to get my cardio up. I usually do about 4k twice a night. I sort of have a goal to do the 5k at castaway cay next year but not a real priority either. Props to you and the family:thumbsup2. I can't imagine doing a half marathon. Just thinking about it is intimidating but that would be a great excuse to make a trip to WDW wouldn't it? :)

Congratulations on your race!!!! I ran my first half marathon this weekend too. It was on 10-2! I know what you mean about the high and the sore muscles!! We all got medals for finishing and I ran it a lot faster than I ever thought possible! I ran thorugh hs and college and kept it up off and on throughout the years. I always wanted to do a half but just never got up the courage to do one! Then in July a dear man lost his struggle to cancer. He had just done a half iron man a month before he passed away. He lived his life with such courage, determination and lived life like there was no tomorrow! He inspired me beyond measure so in July I began to take it to the next step and seriously train. On Saturday, I ran for him! It was a life altering moment and I dont think I will ever be the same!! Looks like we both hit milestones. Congrats to you!!!!!!!!!:lovestruc

jordak,

It's a terrific excuse for a Mickey visit! And Marathon Weekend is such a fun time to be there. You could always do the 5K that weekend, if you weren't ready for the Half. We actually did the 5K as a family, with my son running, and the DH and I walking. Great time had by all! My son's goal is to do the Goofy Challenge (that's the Half and the full Marathons back to back). :scared1: You can see why they call it Goofy!!

Just as an FYI, the CC5K is a very laid back thing. No time restrictions, and a wide variety of experience/talent with regard to the participants. DH and I walked it, and got our DCL water bottle for completing it. It's a gorgeous setting for a 5K. Plus you get that daily workout in nice and early, so the rest of the day is yours to have fun! With the Hershey race only two weeks after our WDW trip/cruise, I got to be very familiar with the fitness centers at OKW, Beach Club, and the Wonder. Working out on the Wonder is a lot of fun, you are looking out over the ocean as you train. Very cool! :thumbsup2
