Cruise insurance

Our first cruise we didn't buy insurance (didn't know any better). We did purchase insurance for the next few cruises from the cruise line. Then we looked into just getting an annual policy (we're retired, we travel a lot), only for medical/evacuation. Got a good plan with GeoBlue and we've just renewed every year.

Geo blue when I called them back said: we will not cover you for the Alaska part - the first person never even mentioned that.
I'm guessing that's because the "Alaska part" is in the US, your own medical coverage should cover you for any medical costs you might incur.

Allianz is our YEAR ROUND insurance. DW will be going to NY for DGD's Carnegie Hall Wind Ensemble performance and trip is covered. Then we have a cruise a couple of weeks later and it's covered. Another cruise 6 weeks later = covered. DW has a Girl Scout trip with troupes to Savana 2 weeks later = covered.
