The "Bon Voyage" decorations, are they in your stateroom when you board or do you have to put them up yourself?

For the bon voyage package ... I would think they would hang it up for you for $50

We haven't sailed on DCL yet, BUT on our other cruise, we also ordered a decoration package (anniversary) and it was all hung up. I would assume it would be the same for DCL ^_^

The Bon Voyage decorations were up an waiting for us when we arrived in our stateroom!

This was waiting in our stateroom upon arrival. DH ordered them for me for our anniversary via DCL's site.

They were a wonderful little surprise and I loved seeing them every day of our cruise. Knowing that they would not make them back to the States (and through customs) and another flight home, I left them for a member of the cruise staff at Guest Services on our way off the ship. They were enjoyed for almost two weeks, by both myself and the member of the cruise staff. Now THAT'S money well spent in my opinion.

DD ordered this arrangement for our stateroom for our Mexican Riviera cruise. I was very pleased with how fresh it stayed. Since they were delivered to our room in California and we returned to California, I was bummed that we couldn't take them home with us.

Great idea to donate them to the cruise staff.

What about using Shirley from (i think its) the perfect gift and flower shoppe? She has a whole thread on here and she'll customize whatever you're looking for. Her feedback is all positive and her prices are reasonable. If I wasn't on my phone I'd try to link to her thread but maybe someone else can provide the link. Just another option to think about.

Shirley is an option only if you're sailing from Port Canaveral. DCL now sails from LA, Seattle, Galveston, Miami, NYC, Barcelona and Vancouver.

Did you order that right off the DCL website, or is there a different site to order that stuff? Our cruise will be celebrating our 5th anniversary, and I'd love to have flowers waiting in our stateroom. I ordered a Minnie Mouse arrangement of flowers when we spent our 3rd anniversary at WDW, and my wife talks about them EVERY time the topic of WDW, or even Florida comes up.

I really like this thread I have a question .... I ordered flowers for my mom on our last cruise and she was afraid that she couldn't take them off the ship . Because it was agriculture . However if they came on the ship at the returning port can you take them off ??? Would love to know your thoughts .

You cannot remove agricultural products from the ship in any port. Even if it "boarded" the ship in the port you'd be taking it off.

So I guess my mother is always right . LOL fifty dollars was a waste of money because she couldn't take them off the ship. LOL

Maybe the rule was changed or we had a nice custom agent, we took our flowers off
