Cruise Docs when book on Points?

We booked our 9/22 cruise on points…will our final docs be sent to us directly from DCL or will they be routed to DVC first? Also do the docs arrive via standard mail or overnight mail, if overnight do they require a signature?

Not sure about the routing but docs usually come via FedEx. There was discussion in another thread about signatures, my experience has always been a signature is required.

FedEx left the docs for our last cruise on the front porch when we weren't home. They don't always wait for a signature!

I believe that once you book your Disney cruise with your points (as we have always done), you are now considered a DCL customer. That's why you pay the $75 exchange fee, because your points were converted into DCL "dollars." So, when you get your docs, etc. it will be coming from DCL and not DVC. At least that's the way I understand it...

I booked yesterday and was told to expect my confirmation packet in 7-10 days, and my docs a few weeks before the cruise via fedex and DCL, not DVC.

Not exactly. Once we book (and pay the $75 transfer fee) we are still DVC. If you have any inquiries at all you need to call DVC and they will handle it with DCL. We cannot directly deal with DCL ourselves as DVC is our travel agent of sorts. Your documents will come directly from DCL 2-3 weeks prior to sailing.
