Cruise confusion

Hey guys. I'm so sorry I probably will ask lots of questions. But we just booked the Halloween Cruise 29th Sep for 3nights this is our first time on a cruise and just wonderin if anyone had any help.
I read that a Halloween party and a pirate party will take place on the same night? How does it work do you choose one to go to, or is it separate events.
Can we dress up it's 3 adults. Me and my parents I'm not sure they would want to dress up would I look strange if I dressed up on my own.. Any costume ideas,? . And any other tips about anything would be very much appreciated. I know they give u like a navigator? That gives out times etc each day. So that will be helpful
And what do they do on the other nights?
Anyway I appreciate the help! X

Adults are encouraged to dress up.
The 3 night cruises they blend pirate night and dress up night together.
Normally every cruise has a pirate night but because of Halloween time you have the option of dressing non pirate if you wish. You also can simply not dress up

Folks are free to dress up or not, to whatever extent they wish (with some limitations that should be outlined in your cruise paperwork or on the DCL website). My daughter always dresses up, my husband and I hide in Palo and emerge for the fireworks and my parents will put a bandana on their heads at dinner. Do what makes you happy and conformable and there will be no judging!

The Halloween activities primarily take place during the day/afternoon (sometimes with a midnight showing of Nightmare Before Christmas), while the Pirate night activities are primarily after the first dinner seating til around 11:00 pm.
