We are staying 4 nights at All-star prior to our 4 ngt cruise, but
we are not on the land/sea package...I have heard that we still
may be able to check in for the cruise at the hotel..does anyone
have info regarding this??

Last year we stayed at the Pop Century for one night. We then took a bus over to the Swan and checked in there at the DCL desk and waited for the DCL bus from that location. The DCL desk did go through all of our tickets, docs etc... We did have a ticket bought to ride the DCL bus from the Swan. We also did have to do a quick check in at the counter at the Terminal as well. Hope this answers your question.

No, sorry you were misinformed. You can only check in for the cruise at your WDW hotel if you are staying on an official land/sea package. If you have room only ressies at WDW you will still have to check in for the cruise once you get to the terminal.

You may be able to do what the poster above said, but if you still have to do a quick check in at the terminal it does not seem to be a time saver to go all the way to the swan/dolphin ....unless you are catching a DCL transfer on their bus.

Hope this helps.
