How long in advance can you book a cruise using points?:confused3
Planning on a cruise in Jan 2010 but did not know when I could book.
I am waiting on closing on new contract and and membership to DVC.:yay:
Thank you.

Well, I was going to post this question also but would like more details. How does it work? If I'm looking to cruise in 2010 and don't know what the points will be - how do they book it? Also, how do you figure out the cash value of the second person in the room? Any help is appreciated.

The points charts for 2010 are available, they just haven't been posted yet. If you call MS they can tell you the points cost, per person, for the 2010 sailings.

DCL and DVC contract for the cash prices. MS will give you the cash cost, per person, when you call. Remember that you'll need to pay the entire cash amount at the time of booking, along with the $95 trade fee. While the cash rate directly through DCL tends to go up as the sail date gets closer, the DVC cash price does not fluctuate. It is generally a bit more expensive than the early-booking prices through DCL, but less expensive than the closer-to-sailing rates.

OK - how do I do this or can I do this? We were booked on an Oct 2009 cruise but got moved because of dry dock. We are currently booked for Aug. 2009 but that is not an ideal time for us. We are new AKV owners with Dec UY. Do I move our booking to the one we want so we get the rooms we want, then try to make it work with points next year? Can I do that?
