What Does Disney Do If You Booked A Cruise On Board And Now Want To Change The Date?

They will change the date. Of course, if your new date is a more expensive time, like a holiday there will be an increase. Your discount and onboard creadit that you recieved for booking onboard, will be transferred to your new date.

Same thing if you transfer your booking to a travel agent. The discount and credit go with you.

I believe if you call them to transfer your reservation, you can keep the benefits you got by booking on board (on board credit, discount). But the price is based on today's price for the new dates that you want. The deposit money would be transferred to the new date so you don't have to repay that amount. (The only exception might be if you are transferring to one of their special itineraries, they may not give you the same benefits.)

we transferred our 08/19/2006 ressie (booked onboard) to 09/17/2006 11 night Wonder ... the stateroom credit transferred over, and they said we got the Early Booking Savings, no mention of the onboard rebooking 10% discount ... we'd paid $750 when we rebooked onboard (3 people, $250 each) ... but the new itinerary called for a $350 per person deposit, so we needed to pony up an additional $100 per person ... instead I removed our daughter from the ressie so now we only needed a $700 deposit and already had $750 on file. :)

But when you add your daughter back on to the ressie, won't you have to pay the prevailing rate for her? And it's my understanding you won't get the 10% off for her? Plus, what if the ship's kids program is full and they don't let you add her? I ask these questions because we thought about doing that as well but were discourage to do so because of the above reasons.

Thanks,
Lisa :teeth:

well, she'll be 16 next year. And she can't miss school (high school or college) and we're really figuring that whenever we do use that ressie she won't be able to go, so we're takin' our chances by removing her.

I booked my original 9/3/05 cruise on board last April. When the repo cruise was anounced DCL transferred the 10% discount and the on board credit to the new reservation for 8/20/05. This date originally hadn't been available while we were cruising.
