LOL :teeth: :teeth:

Glad you are feeling well enough to make it to the computer. Get even better soon!

Umm Sarahsmom - I do read the thread but eventually it takes a while for me to comprehend. I see you already answered my question about whether you have been reading the thread because you know all about how some of us like some of the reality T.V. shows.

Tonight I will be watching Survivor:The Amazon - Battle of the SEXES!! This is Survivor's last chance in my book. I just may give it up completely if I am not happy with this group.

And Joe Millionaire - Only saw two episodes, one of them being last week. WHAT A RIPOFF! Should have known they were gonna drag it out another week. Well, I guess I will have to watch THREE episodes of that now!

Okay, I am now relinquishing control of the Cruisetoberfest thread to the next person. I wonder what the count is up to now??

Rosemary I save the pdf(adobe) version of the list. That has Stacey's German Mickey on it.

Welcome again to all of our new members. Sarah's Mom here is what they put in place of the amusement park. Shopping center Only bad thing about it is that if you start on one end there is no cut through to the other side. It is like a big horse shoe you have to turn around or go all the way around. It is one mile around the mall from one end to the other. 1.609km for our metric friends.

Mike

Cathy with @C good to see you posting. Did you mean mend? I guess that with the stuffy nose and being all stopped up it is hard to type while you eyes and nose are running. Take care and since Sarah's mom lives close by she can run over and doctor you. If nothing else, Ashlee can take you outside for a drag(walk). Your new avatar is great!!!!:bounce: Mike

Welcome to Sarah's mom and VideoMan! Welcome aboard:p

We are so excited to watch Survivor tonight. It should be very interesting!!
To everyone who is not feeling well......feel better soon:D
Since we heard all about the dental stuff, I can tell you today I went to a podiatrist (sp?) and had my large toenail removed! YUCK!This was because I got a darn pedicure before Cruistoberfest I and got a darn fugus thing!!! Never again! It has been causing me quite a bit of pain for the last few months so I desided to do something about it!So now, although I am not "sick" I am in need of pixie dust :p
We leave for Hilton Head in the morning. REALLY looking forward to seeing my twin sister. I need a "twin fix" every 6 mo or so!
Thanks for all the well wishes for our trip:cool:

Have fun in chat on Sat am:bounce:

I also want to welcome Sarah's mom (another PA family) and VideoMan! Welcome aboard. I need to count the PA people, we need to beat out the OH folks. Scott and Dan are out their recruiting people. So any PA folks lerking sign on.

Next week, I need to be out on both Monday night and Wednesday night so I will have to tape Joe, American Idol and Bachelorette. I do hope she picks Ryan. I think I read somewhere that she was stopped for a traffic violation recently and Ryan was in the car with her. If Joe does end up being a total scam, I think I will swear of reality tv. I am trying to stay away from Survivor. I love ER so if it on the same time, I would be doing the channel flip. Then I always miss something.

Mary and Ave--- Have a wonderful weekend. I hope the weather holds out for you. Mary, my DS had to have his toenail removed for a bad ingrown toenail infections

Since it is suppose to snow here again, I think I will rent Big Greek Wedding and Sweet Home Alabama. I have been away from decluttering for a few days. The major places left are the garage, attic, workshop and it is so cold in those areas that I have to wait for warmer weather. I did find that I have 8 Disney Wonder mugs, 6 WDW popcorn containers, 4 OKW mugs, 2 CBR mugs, plus 8 Hersheypark plastic bottles and 6 Baltimore oriole bottles. Do you thing they would be interested in buying them back? Most of them look brand new only used 1 time. Last year, I brought 2 of the Wonder mugs on the Magic to use up on Deck 9 for lemonade, iced tea and coffee. Will do that for this trip, otherwise I end up spilling the drinks trying to get back to the table or room.

I need to be like Rosemary and Dan and break this into mutliple postings to increase my total.

LOL!!!! Bettemom - You should be careful what you wish for, it just might happen!! ;)

Mary! You got a fungus from just a pedicure???? You didn't have any fake nails put onto your toes, did you? Wow, how can that happen without the fake nails. I didn't know that. I like to indulge in a pedicure on a rare occasion - (I think I have had a grand total of three in my lifetime.) I was thinking it would be nice to have one before Cruisetoberfest 2 but not if there is that possibility.

Nancy (padisneyfan) - Isn't it amazing the stuff we collect. And you don't want to throw them out once you clean up either. So what do you end up doing with them??? Last year I ended up using some of the large plastic cups we got from various places to put plants in and bring to a plant swap I went to. I wish they made some fatter cups but basically, it worked.

Multiple posting is not bad, as long as the post has substance and not just a single word, as ONE person demonstrated earlier in the thread. That is a BAD post. We Cruisetoberfesters, as a rule, only post good posts! (We do allow for some exceptions, of course) ;)

CALLING ALL SURVIVOR FANS!!!

Thanks to Nancy, Mike, and Betty for the well wishes for this weekend. I had to go to a March-of-Dimes Kick-off party tonight, got home in time to do laundry, gas up and wash the minivan, pack for me and the kids, go to the store for last minute food items. Boy am I beat! LOL
Tulirose; we stayed on deck 2 last time, so I know all about your secret spot. LOL
Got to finish laundry now. Hope everyone who is sick starts feeling better.

Watched Survivor last night -- the women were something else. They won the challenge yes but they can't build a shelter. Looks like next week they are going to suffer for it. We talked about it at work yesterday afternoon and decided that the women weren't going to get along as well as the men. I'm not sure about that but boy were the men funny talking about the women.

Am now waiting for my DS who's 16 to get out of the shower and catch his bus. Ugh. Yesterday morning he missed his bus and then said that it was my fault because I didn't wake him up at 7am. I did but his problem is that he doesn't roll out of bed until 7:10am and then wants to take a 45 minute shower. I'm threatening to start waking him up at 6:30am. I keep telling myself that it's only one more year and then he's off to university and it's his problem to get himself up. Does anyone else have a teenager they can't get up in the morning?

Anyway time to go let the dog in and knock on the bathroom door.

Fiona

Fiona--- I can relate with your problem of getting your son up and out of the house in the morning. This is the first year I have not had to deal with that, since both sons are in college. Every day was the same battle and got even worse in the senior year. Since they had senioritis and didn't want to go. At least in college they can try to get later classes scheduled. I know DS#2 doesn't start until 9am. Plus it is no longer my problem if they don't get up. However, I did find while they were home on Christmas break that both of them got up early without my intervention to get to work @ 7am. So there is hope.

How are you and Colleen doing with the weight loss?

Got to get to work. Thanks heavens it is Friday and we are another week closer to cruising.

Nancy

I forgot to send get well wishes to those who are not feeling well.

I loved the German Mickey.

Now you have sparked my interest in survivor, plus it is on before ER so can watch both of them. I have never watched as much TV as I have this winter since we are stuck in the house because of the weather.

Now to work.

Nancy

At least I'm not alone in the morning struggle. He did catch his bus this morning but I don't think that he's caught the bus for an entire week in 3 years. Since he started high school I have to pay for the school bus -- it's not that bad, only $32/month this year but that does amount to $320 and if I end up driving him I feel like I'm paying twice. It is too far to walk though and the local transit isn't great -- it would probably take him 1.5 hours to get on the transit because he would have to change buses. I just keep telling myself one more year, one more year.....

Tulirose -- thanks for the Survivor thread posting.

Nancy -- Survivor is interesting this time around. I've watched all of them although I don't always catch each episode. Love ER too. Can't believe how much TV I've watched this year either but it's been really cold and not inviting at all to be outside.

So far only down half a pound but at least it's going in the right direction!

Should get back to work and return some phone calls.

Fiona

Rosemary...yes, you can get fungal infections from a pedicure if the tools used have not been properley cleaned or (the most likley reason) the foot bath has not been properley cleaned. I will never have it done again, I'll just do it myself! Last night was rough. I woke up at 3am and was in a lot of pain. Thankfully, one of the doctors I work with heard me telling a co-worker what was in store for me later that day and offered a Rx for pain meds. I filled them "Just in case" and boy am I glad I did!I've only had to use one so far but I was VERY greatful I had it last night!

Well, teh car is packed and we are almost ready to get on the road to Hilton Head. I plan to pick up some pins for trading while there.
Have a great weekend everyone! Since I will not be here to post my bouncey guys on Sat. I'll do it today!;)

34 weeks to go!!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL OUR DIS FAMILY OF FRIENDS!

NOW GO OUT THERE ARE HUG YOUR SWEETY!

Rosemary ... I thought you were officially turned off to Survivor and then you go and put in a link for a Survivor thread! AND BTW I did mean mend and not bend ... head is a little screwey right now with the crud I have. (No snide comments, Dan Mike, Kathy, Ave, Mary, Dave or Eric)

Chris ... I got the screen saver in the mail yesterday, THANK YOU,
THANK YOU!

GUYS ... THere is an interesting thing on the boards about luggage ties ... you may want to read it. (Sorry, I'm too challenged to put a link in here!)

Oh well ... back to work................

Cathy with @ C

To all:

Just a question, I have a friend who did our Cruise shirts last year and they turned out really nice. He owns an embrodiory company, maybe I could get a quote from him using our German Mickey logo. What do you guys think?

Dan

Dan - Shirts with the German Mickey logo would be great! Let us know if you get a quote.

@GoofyNut - For anyone interested, the luggage tie thread is HERE.

Fiona - Maybe you should get your son a really loud alarm clock that keeps alarming until you turn it off. Then set it on the far side of his bedroom so he HAS to get up! :p

Survivor - I watched part of it last night and thought the women were not too bright A good shelter should be first and foremost! I am glad the show did not conflict with ER though.

To anyone sick - Get well soon!

To all the "newbies" - WELCOME! I am a newbie to Cruisetoberfest, but not to cruising DCL. I look forward to meeting everyone.

To everyone - HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
