Hi Tulirose!

Sure wish we could join you next year for Cruisetoberfest II, but unfortunately, we probably won't be able to. But, you never know! We generally don't plan trips this far in advance!

I had been meaning to send a note to all of you on this thread anyway. To whoever is new to Cruisetoberfest - you're lucky! You've hooked up with a great and enthusiastic group! We just got back from the 9/14 Western cruise, and the DIS had planned to meet at the sailaway party. Well, the main "ringleader" didn't show (who was supposed to be recognizable by his clothes and a green lei), so those of us who did show up to the party, had no way of identifying each other. We ended up not meeting anyone on the cruise since we also didn't book any excursions through the ship. Certainly very different from the Cruisetoberfest group!

I've just been, er, occupied. Thanks for missing me, makes me feel like family. I've been really busy, haven't even had time to lurk. I guess I'll have to check in occasionally so you don't send out the St. Bernards.

Glad to see our group is growing, I'm sure we will be an exceptionally large and rowdy group on the high seas.

Is slurring considered a language? I've been known to speak that from time to time, so you see Viking, we Americans do have skills!

Hi TxJasmine! After Cruisetoberfest I, no cruise can compare! I bet you guys had a great time anyway on your 9/14 cruise. It is great hearing from ya.

YAY!!! jmalk is found safe and sound... just living a busy life and not addicted to the old computer like me! Now, what happened to Taswira??

Jmalk - I must tell you now, I am NOT rowdy. I am much more quiet in person than I am on the computer, especially in crowds. I'm really very shy. Nearly any of the old Cruisetoberfesters can attest to same. Ain't this true, Dan and Kevin? (we were the three shy ones!)

BTW - Heard from Kathy and Mike (papa) at about 6 p.m. this evening on their way down to the 9/28 "Cruisears" cruise. He said "it's raining like the dickens" and I yelled at him for driving and talking on the cell phone at the same time. I think they just wanted to make me jealous! No - not really....but I got jealous anyway!

Dave and Ellen will be ending their anniversary cruise shortly. I'm sure they had a wonderful time. We expect to hear from you guys this weekend! Okay, you can unpack first, and check the mail, and the kids.....

I'm still here! jmalk had replied first on our Halloween Wonder thread, which is why I didn't respond on this one.

You know, I am a lot like you I guess, in that I am much more outgoing on the computer than in person. I can be very shy and reserved until I get to know people. Sometimes that gives the impression of being stuck-up or unfriendly, and that isn't the case at all. I am hoping that with all the interaction here through the coming year, by the time of Cruisetoberfest I'll be comfortable with everyone. After all, this is the closest thing to having actual conversations!

This is an out and out lie!!!


I am the shy one, the above group rocked the ship nightly and were almost made to walk the plank for their rowdiness!!!!

I'm sure anyone on that cruise will agree with me on this point.

-This time we have two listkeepers.
-Many of us know each other personally and not just virtually.
-We have more than a year to prepare everything.
-This time our number will be in the 3-digit-range and we take over the ship.
-And this time I will bring as much Schnaps as allowed by the US Customs' rules

Hi everyone! Have been lurking for about two weeks, reading your posts, and have now signed on (my 2nd post). We have just booked the 10/11/02 cruise and are looking forward to a wonderful time. Second Disney cruise (did 4-day Wonder in June 2000). There are 15 of us total....myself, son (12), my best friend and her husband, her parents on their first cruise, her brother, sister in law and 2 nieces (11 & 13) on their second Disney cruise, her other brother and his girlfriend (who has never been to Disney anything other than the store), and another best friend, her husband and son (3). Very excited about the one year mark coming up next month...wish we were going this year but it sounds like next year is going to be one great time! Hope to get to know you all through the posts and get to meet on the cruise. Take care.

Wow, this sounds like it's going to be a great group. Welcome DopeysGal and her crew. I have to add that now my mom (52) and my aunt (60) will also be joining us on the cruise. And, they are a lively couple of gals, so this should be a blast. I can't wait to meet everyone!!!

Taswira - are you still going to MNSSHP and the passholder's party on 10/27? DH and I just bought our tickets, so we are definitely going to be there. We are still working on the costume thing. We have narrowed it down to Fred, Wilma and Pebbles Flintstone; Captain Hook, Wendy and Tinkerbell; Scarecrow, Wicked Witch and Dorothy from Wizard of Oz; or 50's style poodle skirts, etc. DH said that he doesn't care, so it's up to me to decide. Hope to see you there!!!

Thanks for the welcome, Amy. I want to correct that we are going on the 10/12/03 cruise, not 02 as in my previous post. Can you tell I'm a blonde or just excited about the cruise?? Your mom and aunt sound like great fun. Our group ranges in age from the kids to 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s with many varied interests so that's why the Disney cruise will be perfect for all of us. I'm an over planner (some have said anal) so that's why the information on the DIS boards is perfect for me. Just wish I had found them sooner!

<B>alikat99</B> - Yes, I'm still going to MNSSHP and the AP pre-party on the 27th. I'm sure we'll meet! I pretty much look like the pic in my sig since that was just a few months ago. I don't know about my costume yet. I'll probably wait until I get to FL mid-October to decide. I'm really looking forward to the evening. My (grown) nephew and I have dinner ressies at LTT at 7:05, right after the AP party.

A BIG Cruistoberfest welcome to DopeysGal and her gang! What a group you got going there. You guys almost qualify for your own Dis Meet! Glad to have you join our group.

Hubby and myself were NOT part of that crowd. Surely, you speak of the Viking and SideShowBob, along with three giggling women from Ohio, among others! Hubby and I turned in around 11 - 11:30 every evening after our nightly stroll around the deck!

Taswira - Last year, Dan, DCLFan and myself said we would need keyboards in order to communicate with others! We were nervous about meeting in person, but turned out just fine! So don't worry.

As alway, the Viking is correct - Dopeygal's group certainly boosts our numbers closer to that 3-digit range! But I'm confused too. DopeyGal, you just mixed up your dates a bit, right?
