They are making the Magic all beautiful for us! The pictures are really good.

Thanks for giving us the heads up.

Thanks! I just emailed the links to Mike, my mom, and my brother. It's exciting to get to see our ship! :boat:

P.S. I just noticed all the new smilies!!:chat:

I dreamed about the cruise last night, but it was more of a nightmare. It was more of a cargo ship than the magnificent boat that I saw in those dry dock pictures and there was very little to do; bordering on boredom. Man, I need a vacation.

--breaking into song-- I gotta get outa this place, if it's the last thing I ever do...

Pixie Dust to all of our friends and families in need.
Sorry, I'm not very good at this stuff.
Tammbe, your mother would be proud, as we all are.

On a happier note, We just recieved a surprise visit from Colleen's aunt, all the way from Arizona.

This weekend, our dd and sil will move into their very first house, and of course I get to help move them.

We really need this vacation!

 and Prayers to Dan & Jessica ... May GOD be good and bring them their baby ... nice and healthy and in the arms of his Daddy.

Tammy ... Unfortunately I had the same situation with a great uncle --- it's tough BUT the right thing to do. Later on you can rest assurred you did all you could.

OK - Quick, what will we be doing a week from today ...
hint - :boat: .

Hey I love the new smilies.

doesn't it sound weird..........ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!:bounce:

It just doesn't seem possible.

I ran across a great thread about what kinds of medicine to take! My dh, me & my dad all get seasick........I don't know if I should call the doctor and ask for a prescription or if OTC drugs will work just as well. I am not really worried about while we are on the ship, but taking the smaller boats to Stingray City.
Any opinions from all you medical people out there! :listen:

Well......the laundry is calling me again.......must finish so I can continue to OVERPACK! :smooth: j

Hugs to Tammy and my prayers are with Dan and Jessica.

Thankfully it's Friday. I'm so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open today. I'd love to just put my head down on my desk and sleep for a couple of hours. I'm waking up thinking lists every night. Planning on doing most of the packing this weekend so hopefully I'll be able to sleep next week before we leave.

Car is getting its regular maintenance today which is good but I'm not thinking of the cost because I'm getting some stuff done early because of the long drive. Oh well better to spend some money in maintenance then have something awful go wrong. My mother has done that already with her car so am not going to make the same mistake.

DS wants to go grocery shopping with us so that he'll have food while we are away. Might get him up early tomorrow morning to do it. :D

Must get back to work as I have to leave early to pick up the car -- good thing because staying awake all day could pose a problem.

Hi cruisers,
I just got an email from DCL saying that scissors would probably be confiscated by customs at the port, so for those of us who want to scrap, that means doing any cropping of photos and paper before we go so we can just put pages together on board. That is kind of a pain, but it's better to know now.
On a much brighter note, Ben got home yesterday and we are having a wonderful reunion! He's starting to understand what a cruise is really about and he's getting really excited:bounce: :bounce: Now that that's happened I can really focus on getting ready for the cruise:Pinkbounc :hyper:
I sure appreciate the great hint lists about what to pack, I've never had them before and there are some things on there I hadn't thought of before. This is an amazing thing, because I've done this cruse twice, but never thought about ziplock bags or dollars for tipping... duh.
Have a great day fantasizing about our trip! Renae

Hey guys, what's happening??? Is everyone packing??? We were almost on pg 2.

That's too bad about the scissors. I thought that they would be ok, as long as they were put in checked baggage, but I guess not. Oh well, not a big deal for me.

I got some more packing done this afternoon. I never put our suitcases away from our trip to Chicago for my brother's wedding, so I have them on the floor, just throwing things in as I think of them.

However, it's still pretty warm here (80s), so I can't pack up the shorts until Friday morning. But, I was so happy to turn off the air and open up the windows for some fresh air.

The countdown is on, one week from today I'll be packing up the car and heading to MNSSHP. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

One more thing that I just noticed. We need to get posting. We have only about 250 more posts to make it to 7000, and we only have a week to go.

Also, is anyone going to be in Cruise Chat tonight? This is our last night to chat, before we all meet face to face. :chat:

Post #6750. Can we do it...yes we can! :yo-yo:

We did some running today picking up some last minute items. I'm sure we'll be making a few more trips to Wal Mart before we leave next Wednesday. I did find something that I had given up on finding...I was so glad I found them. They are the metal kids tray with folding legs. Thought it would be good for the older two so if they want to color, play cards, etc. in the car they'll have a flat surface to use.

:wave2: See you all later (I just love these new smilies!:3dglasses )

I still think it will be OK in checked baggage, I'm going to give it a try anyway. Unless they xray the luggage, they'll never know anyhow. Besides, how dangerous can scrapbooking scissors be? I'm going to threaten someone with a bubble pattern on what? The edge of their sleeve? Maybe an arabian line across their tie?

Yeah, I know, they can still be anal, but if they take them, they take them. I'm packing mine in my checked baggage and hoping for the best.

Currently working on my luggage tags right now...

OH MAN...I am SO glad this week is OVER!!! One of the nurses I work with has been on vacation. She and I split working with one of the more "difficult" doctors in our clinic, and with her gone, it been all on me! He has really been on a roll this week, but today was my LAST day to put up with his BS:crazy2:

I am planning on being in "Cruise Chat" tonight. I hope lots of Cruisetoberfesters will join me!

7000 posts??!!! NO PROBLEM:hyper: That's apx 35 posts a day, we can do it!!!!!

Renae...nice to have your boy HOME! I am looking forward to meeting him.

Fiona...food is a powerful motivator! Maybe DS will get up early!

Hope, the medical center on the Magic has a BASKET of FREE meds hanging outside the door. I think if you grab some the day of or the night before your excurtions you'll be fine. I have brought "Bonnie" on every cruise but never used it.I found the "basket" last year when DD got a boo boo and I went looking for a band-aid. If I had known it was there, I would have saved the $ I sent on the Bonnie. The "patches" you can get with a Rx can make you very drowsey :faint:

Don...don't hurt yourself moving stuff!
What a nice surprise. I love to have guests! Have a nice visit with Auntie!:goodvibes

Tina...your post about your MIL reminds me of the show "Everybody Loves Raymond".

does anyone going on the cruise tale vitamins and how do you pack them carry on or checked and do they have to be in orginal bottles . can anyone help me thanks :bitelip:

:wave2: Thanks for that info Mary!! I almost pick up some seasick stuff at WM this afternoon. Now, I won't!

This is so cool........this is our last Friday before we meet!! :hyper:

Next week at this time we will be sitting around the pool chatting instead of chatting on the computer!!! :chat:

Hope:tongue:

RellingTwin,

I'm going to have to check out the show "Everyone Loves Raymond". People love that show! It might help us with our situation and see how they deal with things.

Tina:earsgirl:

:boat: <--I'm going on a cruise!!!

From a health care provider who sends lots of people on planes and traveling (hey the military is a dynamic place where you're never in the same place)

Pack all medicines, over the counter or not, in the original containers with labels. In case your bags are inspected, if they aren't in those containers, you risk the chance of your medicines being confiscated. I would think this would go for vitamins since a pill is a pill
:duck:

Ok 1 week to go!:bounce:
I got some things done today!! Car got oil changed, the tech found a large screw in my front tire, which I will have fixed tomorrow. I found shoes to go with DD formal dress, and bought a new bathing suit!:earseek: Appt for haircut tomorrow morning. I am on a roll!::yes::
Hope the prescription patches have to be applied before you board the ship. They last for 72 hours, then have to be reappied. I would go with the over the counter stuff if you're only worried about the smaller boats and not the cruise itself. Just my 2cents worth.:goodvibes
Ripp..never had any problems bringing medication on board last year. I had some things in the original containers, I had sample meds from my doctors office, and some in unmaked containers. Not a good habit to be in a know.

Loving the new smiles! Much easier than having to go to my smile page each time. :upsidedow
