Mike, sorry we missed your Birthday. Hope you had a HAPPY DAY.

We went camping for the weekend. The weather was FANTASTIC. We were supposed to have rain here on Friday, but it missed us. We heard thunder in the distance, but stayed dry.

The sky was really clear on Saturday night for star gazing. Mars was particularly easy to spot with it close passing this month.

Sorry we missed the chats on Friday and Saturday too.

We take DD back to college on Thursday. Sorry to see summer end......but that means Cruisetoberfest II is almost here.

I ran into trouble the first time I tried to post this. I put in too many bouncies and the administrator apparently has some type of limit now. Not sure what it is, but I lost the whole post.

Logos on shirt.......we are putting it on the back and putting a smaller version on the front. This was my parents idea. I am just doing what I am told! Actually, I gave them my shirts because my printer doesn't work and told them to do "whatever they wanted".

Hope everyone has a good monday. I'll be home cleaning and waiting for the fridge repair man!
:(

I am sure we will like our fan. We got a hot deal on a fan at Staples. Then we found out they were really hot and weren't supposed to be on sale at that price!: Mike and I hardly ever get a "GOOD" deal like that but this time we did. I wanted a fan so bad on our last cruise mostly for the "white" noise. Cathy put us on to the fans on the cruise. Thank you Cathy!

I haven't had a lot of time to do much shopping. Hopefully we will this next weekend. Katie will be with her daddy on Saturday and then we will be able to shop without our little pistol! Her mama and daddy brought her by tonight while I was getting ready to go to work and it really was hard to leave.

Logo? Front or back! We are putting them on the front. That way we know each other on meeting instead of "Oh, there goes one of us!" and make a turn around to greet. It is really up to you.

Everyone take care. Not much longer! Kathy with a K

Thanks for the belated wishes Dave.

Mary I see the tag fairy got you. Hope that your car air conditioner gets fixed. The air conditioner on our new saturn vue had to be repaired the other day as it had an O ring leaking and the freon level was low. Working great now.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in about 46 days. Mike

Hi all,

Great chatting to those who were on...... We have still to do our T-Shirts..

wel hope all are fine and today its back to the grind stone---

Eric look forward to your call later...

Now wheres that coffee....................

Busy weekend here. Did some gardening early Saturday morning while it was still cool. Went to a Gilwell meeting Saturday afternoon that included dinner. Not sure if anyone is involved in Scouting but our Gilwell reunion is in 2 weeks (Sept 5-7) so this was the last planning meeting. Jim and I do the cooking at the camp -- actually he cooks and I cut up stuff! It's fun to see people that you only see once a year and hopefully the weather will cooperate this year. Last year it poured rain Saturday night and we ended up sleeping in the car rather than the tent!

Sunday afternoon we attempted to go to a Jays game but when we got there Jim wasn't feeling well and we ended up coming home again. Jim is getting really frustrated with not feeling great at times. He was ok on Saturday but not feeling that great on Sunday.

Chris finally came home last night and actually said that he was glad to be home and missed me. Sigh, and he wasn't asking for money either! Knew that he was definately home this morning because Lily slept with him rather than with me and his stuff is all over the front hall. He can't believe school starts a week tomorrow and isn't thrilled about going to the dentist Wednesday but it's nice to have him home. He did inform us that although he would remove his stuff from the front hall he was not going to do any joe jobs this week since he only had a week to 'chill' with his friends before school. He has consented to go to the baseball game with me though tonight. I was surprised he agreed because he really doesn't like baseball but it will be nice -- expensive though because he'll want to eat!!

Must go and get ready for work. The power was out for an hour last night in the middle of the night so am running a little late. Have to solve a problem first thing though so I think I'm dragging my heels a little!! The other lawyer I'm dealing with is only so-so nice so to start the day (and the week) with her, well I can think of a lot better ways to do it. But I will have my secretary back. I can cope fairly well without her but I really appreciate it when she's there!!

Looking forward to the cruise. So far Jim thinks he can do it so I'm hoping and keeping my fingers crossed.

Fiona

Everyone is quiet this morning! Hope everyone is having a good Monday.

Any great plans for the labor day weekend?

Mike & Kathy (with a K) I may be passing through Nashville this weekend. My girlfriend in Elizabethtown, KY had a baby Saturday. I might try to get up this this weekend for a quick visit!

On our way up, we would HAVE to stop at the Bass Pro Shop! :)

Hope

Fridge man finally came to fix fridge. Guess I am free for the day!!
:bounce:

September is going to drag on and on. It is such a long month.

I asked off of work for October 9th. My boss said, "if you can find a sub, you can be off!" So, I am working on it. We are planning on leaving here as soon as the kids finish lunch on Thursday the 9th and arriving at IOA by midnight Thursday night.

Mike and Kathy.......when are you driving down?

Been off of the boards a day or so and trying to catch up.

Fiona ... How is Jim doing? Tell him we wish him good health and HEAL!

Mike & Kathy ... Did you play the DVDs yet? Think Deck 10 Sail-A-Way party. Robin Williams wants to know is it hot enought for you!

MaryJo ... glad you got home OK. I'll have to give you a call so we can make arrangements to meet for our Baltimore Trip.

Yes you did read it right ... Art's school is having a one day trip to the Inner Harbor and MaryJo, Sam, Sarah, Art and I are going back ... to pick up some of the stuff we missed for the DIS meet.

Hope all is well with everyone else.

Back to work as it's just the Boss and I today....don't ask what kind of day I'm having cause it isn't pretty.

....Just thought of something ... Eric, about the leatherman - maybe if all else fails one of us (Mike or Art) could put it in our car until we get back from the cruise and then you can pick it up again and avoid any fuss with customs/security.

Arlene...I say those words MANY times a day! I think having a cruise to look forward to has made me a more pleasant person to be around:p

Hope our Labor Day plans involve a NASCAR Race!

Mike...I LOVE the tag the Tag Fairy gave me!!!

Hey everyone!! Well, the wedding this weekend was nice. Chris's cousin's daughter was the one getting married. She's actually only about 10 years younger than Chris and I, so we get along pretty well. She looked just beautiful. She married a guy from England that she met in college in Canada. Isn't that an unlikely happening!?!?!? Anyway, it was quite amusing to see the mother of the groom. She had this huge hat, that reminded several of us of Queen Elizabeth. I guess hats like that are much more popular in England than they are here. ;) ;)

Chris has been working like crazy this past weekend. He starting working on a special project on Thursday afternoon and finished it at 3am this morning. In between that time, he only got about 8 hours of sleep total. Personally, I could never do it. Anyway, his boss told him today that she didn't want to see him in the office today, so he took Emily over to his mom's in Lakeland (between Tampa & Orlando) for the day. She got to play with some of her second cousins who are much older than she is, but they love to play with her.

As for me, work was kinda slow today, so I did about 6 loads of laundry (everything in the house: sheets, towels, etc.) and vacuumed the house. Now, I just have to get my scrapbook stuff organized and I'm all set.

I really can't wait for this cruise. I'm really feeling like a need a vacation, and quick!!! I guess that it's a good thing that I'm super busy between now and October, so hopefully the time will go by quickly.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great place to stay. It has a wonderful pool and animals can be seen from most all the rooms. The architecture is fantastic.
We stayed there 2 years ago for our anniversary.
btw, I work at Animal Kingdom in Africa. It is a great place too.

Hi gang! I did some major shopping today. Belks was having their "end of Summer Sale" and had some really great prices!I got the kids each about 5 shorts/shirt outfits plus a dress and a bathing suite for DD and 4 dresses for me for under $200!!!!Most of the items were 50% off then an additional 30%. I LOVE sales like this! DH "cruise ware" from last year is still in great shape, so I think I'm pretty much done except for shoes for DD and me.

I sure miss Belk! We used to have them here--but they were bought out and now we have Dillards (which I don't like as much) I LOVE those end of season sales--that is how I clothed Tara for many years (bought for the next season) and is how I'm buying for Trevor now (he has clothes up to a size 6 in the closet even though he has just grown into 2/3) It's the ONLY way to shop--
I managed to get Tara's formal dress for the cruise on one of these sales too. Gotta LOVE that extra $$ off--now if I could just get Belk back (or get that Belk Outlet back here!!)
