Walt? Orlando? DISNEY CRUISE, Hmmm.....
Don:smooth:
LOL! Great minds think alike Don. At any rate, WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME Waltjr. You and your wife and your son will have a wonderful time. Go to any of Viking's postings and click on his cruisetoberfest email at the bottom and send him your user name, the first name, age and occupation of all cruising in your party, early or late seating for dinner, state room #, where you are from, where you will spend night before cruise and the special occasions celebrating on cruise.

Eric (Viking) will be doing an update of our listing this Saturday and you will receive by email all this same information about all of us. I know you already said you are celebrating 24 years of wedded bliss (congrats) but by sending it all in one email to Eric, it will be sure to get on listing.

Cruising with a bunch of strangers you already kinda "know" makes for an enjoyable vacation. And at the same time, we all know that we are all on board for our own individual family time but it makes the cruise that much more special when you meet up with one of the "gang" either accidentally or on purpose. It is like cruising with family, friends and neighbors.

Once you sign on our list too, I am sure RellingTwin will send you our listing of different meets arranged prior and during cruise time. No obligation to attend any but the option is there at your choosing.

With the summer winding down, I expect more of us to be attending the regular Friday night cruise chat time here at the DIS at 9 p.m. Also, we have an INTERNATIONAL CHAT with our German cruisers scheduled for this Saturday. Perhaps you will be able to make that. Check next paragraph for details.

DON'T FORGET! COMING SOON!

Arlene and Fiona - We went to the Renassaise (spelling!) faire for the first time ever last summer in Tuxedo, NY. It was fun but VERY HOT!!

Nancy - (BoardWalk4Me) - I loved your Key West story and your little souvenier!

Goofynut - I have "transfers" written next to your name in my notes but I can't remember why!  Oh well!

Oh, thanking Alikat for showing restraint when CheesePlease was shooting for 5100! WhataGal!

BetteMom and Kim - Wouldn't it be funny if Bernie was a long lost cousin of Pinky???

Goofynut - Again, I forgot exactly why but I have "weather" written next to your name in my notes!  Sorry!

Hope - Girls are back at school and you are starting work again. Good luck to all.

TwinAve - Sorry Son had such a start to his school career and Hubby had bumper problem but happy that the second day for son was so great and hoping your DH's next day was better too.

I think I welcomed the Texas family but welcoming them again since they are not posting!

Eric - Interesting little tidbit about that village emerging by the dam after 70 years under water!!!

Nancy -(Windemere) - I caught that! ...you saying let's post tons so I would have too much to read upon my return. I met the challenge and am triumphant! LOL! Thanks so much for your concern regarding Rich on the day the lights went out. That would have been a nightmare if he was in Manhattan that day. It was so nice of you to think of him.

I have a scribble next to the name Lisa in my notes but I don't know why. Call me a pudding head!

I think that's it for now.

HOMEWORK......HOMEWORK!!

I am a college graduate!! I did my time in school. I hated homework!!! I am doing it AGAIN! DD is in 4th grade and she has about two hours of homework three nights a week! I am sick of it already!!

DH is working A LOT of OT this week. Going in at 4AM and not getting home until 8 - 9PM. Trying to make $$ for the trip!
(so, I'm stuck doing homework!)

Well, better go.......it just rained and cooled things off. Time to go for a walk!

Later........Hope

Do you have a hammer? I think it is dead! Good thing I have a laptop!

Dan

Just a quick question, has anyone from our cruise been upgraded for our cruise??? Just jealous curiosity...

jenkatt

Hope...I know what you mean about homework! It's an everynight thing here. But what I really hate are the "Projects"! Science(exploding volcanos!), History (a replica of Fort Sumter) Langague Arts (Book reports!) And with 2 kids, one in forth grade the other in sixth, it is never ending!

No upgrade here......not banking on one.......just plan on using my moms verandah. We booked a cat 11! I am just thankful I am getting to go. My thinking is, yes the cabins are small, but if I can sleep in a pop up camper with my DH, and two DD's I can handle this room.

Relling.......thanks for the words of encouragement!! I am not a science person. That would be my DH!! He is an Environmental Biologist.........I believe my brain shut down as soon as I was handed that diploma!! :)

:Pinkbounc :bounce: IS IT TIME YET??:bounce: :Pinkbounc

:bounce: Welcome Waltjr and Family!:Pinkbounc

We have a cruiser with an 18 y/o son in our Cruise group. Maybe your son would like to meet him. No pressure, just a suggestion.;)
We are happy to have you aBoard! LOL

Papa, no more holes in my body, thank you. I have what I was born with, and one hole in each ear, that's enough for me. As far as body art goes, I'll just let the kids play connect a dot with my age spots and see what appears. Hope it's Mickey Ears!

Viking, I'm glad to hear that you will be putting the Logo's on your backs, then we'll know who we're passing. LOL

JenKatt, no upgrade here. But our first time with a varanda. Last year we had an inside stateroom on deck 2. And we liked it! But desided to spurge this time.

Later, Ave'

Just keep your logos on your backs Eric. That way when we blow your doors off with pinky clutched tightly in our grasp we will spin you around and then your logos will be right.

Ave know what you mean.

It will be nice and quite on deck two. The level two lounge will not be crowded. Mike

<shacking head> Logo's on the back. How silly. If you have a big logo on the back of the shirt, you MUST have a small logo on the front left hand corner of the shirt, too. What are you going to do, now?

Tina :)

People will think your shirt is on backwards. You must have a counter small logo on the front. Disney wouldn't sell such a shirt.

Tina ha ha

Welcome WaltJr we have something in common. We are celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary on 10/11. Also we are bringing 2-20 year olds. Our DD was 17 when she went on the 3 day cruise with us and had a wonderful time.

No upgrade for us either. We just upgraded ourselves to our first verandah with the kids in an inside stateroom. But have the feeling they will be over in our room using the verandah whenever they feel like it.

Nancy aka Boardwalk4me

Eric's going for the RonJon's type of shirt in honor of our point of departure. (logo on the back)

Last year we got upgraded to a level 4. I think the phone call came about 2 to 3 weeks before departure. Decisions for upgrade are made on Thursday and the calls are made on Fridays.

Had to time it just right because they upgraded us for the first week then I had to call back the following Thursday and speak with a manager to make sure we would get to be in the same room for the second week as well. We weren't taking the upgrade if we couldn't be in the same room for the whole 2 weeks.
