Nancy -- Happy Anniversary!!

Mike - Congrats on the award. Volunteer work in important and should be recognized more I think.

Nice sunny day here now although it's supposed to rain later on. I hope it holds off til after dinner but we'll see.

Rellingtwin -- Had to laugh about jury duty. I got called once and was really excited. Didn't get picked for a jury though and really wanted to be. Unfortunately when I was called it was like 2 weeks before Christmas and there was only 1 trial being held in the 2 weeks I was on call. We had to go for 2 Monday mornings in a row. It was interesting for the two half days we had to be there. We got paid for our time too so that wasn't too bad just before Christmas. Now I can't sit on a jury so I've missed my chance. Do you get paid for jury duty? The amount wasn't much, just supposed to cover transportation costs I think.

Viking, How much do I have to pay you NOT to take my picture underwater? But we sure are looking forward to that Cozumel dive trip. We hated that we missed it last year.

We just returned home from the fund raising dinner and it was fantastic. Kathy and I got to sit at Fred and Kim Miller's table along with the founder for nurses for newborns. Fred is an offensive tackle for the NFL Tennessee Titans and he is huge. About 6' 7" tall and about 307 lbs. The food was fabulous and the location was great at the Richland Country Club. Then like cinderella we got back into our little red pumpkin and returned home to where the old lady and man live in the shoe

Chat is on as far as I know Dan. Good to hear from you and tell everyone we said hello.

With all the rain that we have had in the last week, one of the dams is opening the flood gates and releasing water at the rate of 112,500 gallons(US) per second. They are going to release at this rate for the next week.

Cathy has been extremely busy and I haven't had a chance to talk to her about the logo. One of the steel companies in her area bankrupted along with some of it's small railroads so she has been up to her armpits in work.

I found a lot of Springsteen-videos on the Web, but all were short ones of about 10 minutes or so.

No Chat for us next week: The BD-Party for Opa starts at noon and ends in the early evening, so we won't be available at 4pm CET/10am EST. His "true" BD is on Tuesday, but then he will only have a small reception at his daughters house for lunch and later for coffee&cake with some friends. I'll pick him up at 6pm, drive him home, and then we'll have dinner and watch the brandnew 007-DVD (Die Another Day), which was released on Thirsday over here.

Eric give Opa our best wishes and enjoy your time together. Eric, bib overalls are the southern version of Austrian leiderhosen in denim. Just with long legs.

Rosemary hope that all is well with you and the family there. Looking forward to being neighbors in October aboard ship.

Cathy enjoyed talking to you last night. Aren't bib overalls just too comfortable. You will get the farmers questions at the home improvement stores though.

Haven't heard from Dave in a while, hope that he and the family are doing well.

During the Survivor Finale tonight, I took my slippers off and threw them at the T.V. yelling "SON OF A *****!!!!!".

I am so ashamed.....

The poor t.v. did not deserve that just because it was the bearer of bad news....
