Dan hope that you enjoy your trip to Disney in June. Looking forward to cruising with you and Scott along with Pooh Nate and all the others. Mike

Hi everyone, Just wanted to post a quick note to let you all know I made it through the weekend. The CSN concert was fantastic! Our seat were great, we got there just as they were starting thier first song (Marakesh Express). Sat next to a nice couple. Mark bought me a very cool tie-dyed t-shirt. Show ended around 11pm, so we didn't get home till past 1 am. Mark worked 7-4 Sat, I worked 3-11 Sat, then 7-3 on Sunday. We are both beat. So now tomorrow is Monday.:( Oh well, we will fall asleep singing "Our House and Helplessly Hoping".
Rose, I have had no luck on replacing my Bruce Springsteen Tape. Daughter Mary thinks she tossed it with some old Barney tapes. She feels bad about it. I have checked the Springsteen websites, and even e-bay for a copy of the tape but so far nothing encouraging.
Hopkins, Your table it shaping up nicely. Love the name.:jester:
Got to go to bed!!!!!!!!!! Just 13 days till I have a day off.:p
Later, Ave'

Ave,
try Grokster, Kazaa or EDonkey - You should be able to find it there. If your connection is too slow, just tell me and I get it for you.

To Cathy and the other logo/tee-designers:

What about integrating our flags into the design? Perhaps a large Star-Spangled-Banner in the center and the Maple Leaf and our Black-Red&Gold smaller on the sides.

23 weeks to go!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

We spent Sat canoing, and had a blast! The kids did their first "solo" and did a great job.

Ave, glad the concert was fun.

I just got a notice to attend Jury Duty  the week of May 27th. This is the 2nd time I've been called.

Eric...love the flag idea!

What is the #1 use for cowhide? :Pinkbounc ANSWER ... Of course holding a cow together! hehehe You can aldo say the same about pig skin - most people say gloves.

Great ... Just when I was going to do this post the poop hit the fan with work. One of my major Steel RR's (Bethlehem Steel) jus t went bankrupt and it's making a mess for me. Gotta run and get some answers for one of their employees................

Bit of bad news here. Tornadoes ripped through Tennessee early this am killing 14 in Jackson, TN. Jackson is located half way between Memphis and Nashville in the western part of the state. Here is a link to the Nashville paper. Tennessean

Hope that everyone is doing well and congratulations on the canoe trip Mary. Ave it sounded like you had a great time at the concert. Mike

Hi everyone -- had a great weekend here. Went to the Jays game Friday night and then again yesterday and they won both times. They had a special on over the weekend -- you could go up the CN Tower for $5. Didn't take advantage of it though as we are both terrified of heights. Was up it years ago and am sorry to say that my DS has never been up. He's not great with heights either though and has never asked to go up. The line up was around 2 hours though and snaked all over the place around the Skydome. The weather was perfect too. Nice and sunny -- could have been warmer but after the winter that we've had it was really nice.

Rosemary -- That's right about the Cracker Barrel. We usually stop in Michigan or Ohio and pick up a book on CD. You pay the full price for it but when you return it you get all the money back except for $3 which is the weekly rental rate. When we drove down in September we listened to two books on the way down and two books on the way up. It really passes the time and when we return the last book we usually eat there and the return of the CD pays for the meal. The selection varies with the store but we've always been able to find something to listen to. We've actually done this for years since we nearly always drive to Florida -- we take too much stuff to fly. :p

How are people doing where the tornados hit. I heard about it on the radio this morning. Must have been terrifying.

Have to go and learn how to use the new fax machine which is being installed this morning.

Take care everyone.

Fiona

Did you guys read this thread?

What's up with that? If it is more than just a rumor, maybe we won't be sticking to our itinerary even if there is not a hurricane!

The poster just clarified that it is for NEXT YEAR!

Shari,
you just shocked me

BTW,
yesterday I put the SpruceCreek-issue of "Der Stern" into our jumbo-travelbag to make sure we bring it to the ship.

Back from a college reunion this past weekend. Had a great time. Love seeing old friends.

Cathy - I saw the 2 1/2 gallon hefty's at Target and Genaurdi's ( part of Safeway ). I think Genaurdi's also had 2 gallon ziploc's

Papa, sorry about the tornado. But glad you'll are safe.
cdnmickeylover, good luck with the new fax machine. ;) It seems like the keep getting more and more complicated. More features nobody uses, and more ways to break down.:(
Viking, thanks for your sugestion re: replacing my tape. But this was a video tape, Live from Madison Square Garden, NY. It was broadcast by HBO (Home Box Office). I taped it on my VCR. I bought the CD set of the same concert, but I really miss my video.:( Oh well, I'll keep trying. Someone out there must have a tape I can copy.
I have a new grandniece. She was born on 5/3 to my niece Janyn and her DH. Her name is Mya, still waiting for a picture. I mean the kid is 2 days old and I still haven't got a picture. ;) Funny how times change.:p
Got to hit the hay......Goodnight everyone.
Later, Ave'

Ave,
I will give it a try. There are lots of music-videos to be found on the web. I'll do my very best ;)

Mike,

sorry to hear about the storms. Let's hope that was it for the year. But unfortunately experts predict a heavy storm-season for this year :(

Ave -- congrats on the new grandniece.

New fax machine is ok. Have to remember to put the pages face down -- the old one is face up. It does all kinds of things but I won't be able to remember all of them. It will 2 side fax so that you don't have to copy the other side first. It's actually quite funny because I think it's only the 2 female lawyers in the firm that actually know how to use the fax and the photocopier.

It's supposed to get nicer here but so far it's still pretty gray. No rain though.

Fiona

Ave,
congratulations on the niece from us Germans too! I didn't get it the first time when I read your post, but the weather is so great here that I do only quick glimpses on the screen. I even spend the lunchbreak on our rooftop terrace getting a tan :smooth:

Mike did a great job in updating our logo with the flags of our three countries!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Today I bought a new camera for the trip: A Minolta Vectis Weathermatic Zoom using APS-film. It is submersible down to 33 feet and has a motordriven zoom. We used the same camera on the last cruise, but lent it from a friend then. We're going to use it for snorkeling, shallow dives and at the beach. Our friend (A coworker from my office) doesn't use it anymore and she asked me if I'd want to buy it for €60. The original price was €300 so I didn't hesitate ;) I tried to get one via Ebay, but it usually sells for around €200 used/€250 new.

Sounds like you got a good bargain, Eric!

Is anyone going to Star Wars Weekends at MGM? Check this out. It is a spectacular billboard for it!

Hey guys!! I've missed y'all. I stopped getting emails that said that this thread had been updated, and life has been so busy lately, that I haven't had a chance to check in almost a week.

Anyway, I found out that I'm going to be able to join Chris in Colorado Springs. We will return from the Bahamas on 5/22, then we leave for Colorado on 5/28 and return on 6/1. I'm so excited because I've never been out west, except to San Diego, and that doesn't count. We found out that the company is giving us $800 for activities, so we're thinking about going horseback riding. We haven't done that since we went in Jamaica on our honeymoon. We're not sure what else we're going to do. We've been checking out websites for the area, and there's so much to see.

I can't remember who mentioned early seating, but we have early seating too. But, I'm not sure that you want to sit with us, we'll have a 2 year old, and she is so very true to her red hair (yes, she has a temper).

And, we just decided after seeing the most recent Mickey Monitor that we were going to go to MNSSHP on 10/19 also. Shari, looks like we'll be going on the same day, for 2 years in a row!!!

We've been working on Emily's new room. We're getting ready to start transitioning her to a regular twin bed in what used to be the old guest bedroom. So, we spent the weekend painting the guest bedroom a pale green and then the furniture is being delivered on Thursday. We decided to keep the nursery just the way it is, since we want to start trying for baby #2 sometime in the next few months. But, we want to move Emily to the new room, before a new baby comes, so she doesn't think she's losing her room to the new baby. I hope it works!!!

Well, I'm falling asleep as I'm typing. I've been sick with some sinus thing and I haven't gotten much sleep.

I hope everyone is doing well, and I'll talk to ya soon!!!

Hi Amy,

get well soon :D and enjoy your trips :smooth:
