Did anyone see that on 10/10/03 the Magic Kingdom is having Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party. This might be of interest to those staying near Disney rather than near the port.

We are planning to fly in on 10/10 so this would be perfect for us. I heard its real fun. Just another thing to look forward to...

Awesome - Thanks for the info about MNSSHP. We usually fly down a day early - we may just fly down in the early afternoon now.

Shari ... Don't worry ... sometimes I think that the name of the game is "just how many posts can we get". What the heck, it's part of the fun and memories we making. BTW loved the pictures of the captain and the halloween cruise. They must have had the stuff for the pumpkin stowed away somewhere. Reminds me .. when we leave to go home I make a towel mickey for the room steward and leave the tip envelope in the middle. Please don't get scared away and keep posting.

No this is more like it ... gettiing hyped about who to sit with at dinner, etc.

Mary or Ave ... You had mentioned that you got some 2 1/2 gallon zip bags for packing clothes. Just where the heck did you get them?

:Pinkbounc If there are any lovesick teens on our ship that are thinking of doing anything dumb (like the threatening letters) just forget it unless you can tread water for a reallllllllllly long time!
My DSIL told me there was a couple that was unable to get married cause they missed the port he was to get on at. That girl would have been fish chum if it was me!

OK ... I feel better now.

Cathy with @ C

PS ... Don't forget it's Survivor, CSI and the President tonite.

I'm going to miss Survivor tonight -- have to try to remember to tape it as it looks good. My DS is going to be sworn into the Reserves tonight. According to him he spends the summer at boot camp. This is the same DS who can't get up in the morning without being called twice and who can't catch his 8am bus -- of course to be fair he has caught it four mornings in a row this week. A summer of boot camp might help this I'm thinking. He doesn't need a hair cut that's for sure -- it's already almost shaved completely. Should be interesting anyway. Since he's only 16 I still have to sign all the forms giving him permission to join. I thought he was just joining the cadets but it's the regular reserves. He told me the ceremony was tonight last night at 11:30pm!! Nothing like doing things at the last minute.:p

Wish we could do the Halloween party on the 10th but I think that might be cutting it close since it does indeed take us 24 hours to drive and we weren't going to leave til Thursday morning this time rather than Wednesday afternoon as we usually do. Gives me more time to straighten things away at work since we will hopefully be gone for 2 weeks.

We are thinking of doing the Halloween party on either the 19th or the 24th (which is Jim's birthday also).

Fiona

I just love Survivor and the President! CSI scares me, though it makes you think and it is well written. Just don't like dead bodies and that kind of thing.

Still looking for tablemates.

Will you be my tablemate?
Tina :)

Oh my!!! My Rob, who I liked, I so miss judged. He is such a snake. I thought he was the underdog good guy. I was so wrong.

Tina :(

Hopkins, Glad to see you're getting your tablemates. Last cruise we had a great time with a couple we met on the boards. Dennis and Chrystina from Alaska/Alabama. But with 4 kids between us, we are a lot to handle. Of course Dennis still has his story of " the boys," (son and nephew) removing the insides of the dinner rolls, and then placing them back in the bread basket.
Cathy, I have not found the BIG ZIP yet. Will let you know.
:D when I do.
I won't be checking in again until Mon. DH is taking me to see Crosby, Stills, and Nash tomorrow night, but we have a 2 hour drive to get there and then back again. I am also working this weekend at my new second job. This will be my first weekend "on the floor". That's nurse talk for doing nurse stuff like dispensing medications, wound treatments, breathing treatments, ect...
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

:bounce: :bounce:
Later, Ave'

Ave, have a great time at the concert.

Cathy, I had found the 2 1/2 gal sized bags at either Target or the Dollar Store, I can't remember which one it was:confused:

Sheri...LOVED the photo!

Fiona...how did the ceremony go?

I was disapointed in who was voted off Survivor tonight. I won't say in case someone on the West coast has not seen it yet.

I am so glad this week is almost over. I know I say that every week, but it's true!Just a few more weeks of school for the kids (homework, school projects, lunch money, progress reports ect ect ect for ME!)
George and the kids are going canoeing in Florida at the end of the month. I get to stay at home and WORK:(
Got to get some shut eye!

Ave--- Wound treatments would be the only thing I would be competent to do anymore on a nursing area. Good luck this weekend. Sounds like you have a busy one. Enjoy the concert.

Ok so I watched Survivor and I felt bad that Christy got voted off, she was in tears at the end. Rob is a snake and the anorexic twins still survived. I see that next week are the last two episodes.

I am still hooked more on American Idol. Which has it own sets of twists and turns.

Tina-- I will pm you my reservation number. We are through DVC.

Fiona-- Wow, DS is really doing a turnaround and joining the reserves.

We weren't planning to fly down until later on 10/10. I just checked and there is another Halloween Party on 10/19, so maybe we can go to that one if we stay down for a few days post cruise.

This would be Eric's 40th Birthday and Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party then :p
We will be there in any case and would be delighted to meet as many of you as possible.

ARL01,
Please e-mail or PM me your reservation number and last name.

10/11/03 Cruisers,
Want to join our table for dinners? Let us know.

Have a Disney Day!
Tina :)

We too will be at the Kingdom for MNSSHP.....Maybe we should set up a time & place to meet?

Kim & Bette

Good morning everyone!Another day closer to cruise time!Is there going to be a chat tomorrow?

To former CruisEars...Rae is leaving on tomorrow's cruise!

I hope that there is a chat tomorrow morning. We have been very busy here. Kathy is in a run of 4 straight 12 hour shifts and we have had nurses for newborn visits out the wa-zoo.

Have to take the car in today and have the air-conditioning checked. It is not cooling like it should. There goes most of the morning. Mike

I'll try for chat in the morning. It's been hectic here and I'm so behind on the thread!

Tina-- We'd join you, but we're early seating, so that won't work. Josh tends to just put his head down on the table and sleep after he eats if he's tired, and that's pretty late. He did that at Rainforest Café in December at Animal Kingdom. A lady passing our table stopped to ask what he'd eaten. She wanted to give her kids the same food. ;-)

Mary Jo-- It was so nice talking to you the other day! Thanks for calling and we can't wait to meet you and your family next month.

Cathy with @C-- We'd love to meet you if you can make the trip!
I found the 2 1/2 gal. bags at Target.

Shari-- Great photo! Your community sounds interesting.

Fiona-- How was the ceremony for DS? That is a really good deal for the $125 CDN!

I've had Becca for the past 5 days in a row during the day, so it's been busy here. She's home with her dad today, so I'm trying to get caught up. Josh's school is having a carnival tonight and we're in charge of one of the games. That's always a fun evening.

Take care,
Colleen

I just have to share this..... it's so funny, it makes me laugh just thinking about it.

The other day, Josh was on the couch playing a video game and Becca came and stood right smack in front of the TV. Josh started sort of bobbing from side to side like he was trying to see around her and asked her to move. She just grinned at him and moved.... by bobbing from side to side just like he was, but not actually moving from in front of the TV! It was just too funny! He ended up getting up and sort of steering her away by the shoulders. :teeth:

Colleen

Colleen,

We are early seating also, perhaps we can 'get together'......there does not seem to be to many of us,but it would be fun to get a table going...perhaps others can chime in....

Kim & Bette

Colleen ... I think that's a male thing about not leaving the TV for anything! I guess he's just practicing for when he gets older and his wife want sto talk to him....hehehe.

:( Wish we were leaving with Rae tomorrow ... Hope she has a nice time and tells us all about it when she gets back.

Ave ... Good luck with the new job and OMG enjoy the CS&N concert - lucky you.

Mary ... Thanks about the 2 1/2 gal bags .. I'll try Target. I've tried the grocery stores, Wal-Mart, K-Mart with no luck. They sound like they'd be nice to stock up on and have for packing for the cruise.

October 19 sound good to me for the MNSSHP. Have to remember to tell Art. We are planning to be there for a few days after the cruise ... Possibly with Mike and maybe MaryJo. That's a special parade isn't it? What else do they do?

:Pinkbounc What's the #1 use for cow hide today?
