Peter-- You got post 3400. We stayed at All Star Sport for the first time in December. It was just Norm and I and we liked it. We thought it was very clean and liked the food court. In fact we are going back there after our Pride cruise. We are also DVC members and are points poor since we have been using the points for DCL. This past year was the first time we had stayed in other hotels on property since we bought OKW 10 years ago. The only thing that I really missed at the moderates and All Stars are the balconey.

Happy Easter to everyone.

Nancy

Peter,
we also stayed at the All Stars Movies last time and liked it very much. We use our room at WDW mainly for showering, changing and sleeping. The room was clean, the service fin, the foodcourt was nice, the pools were also OK and the themeing of the resort was wonderful. Transportation went also smoothly - Even better than at the Dixie Landings, where we stayed in '99.

This year we will be off-site in the DowntownDisney area, because we will park-hop between the Disney-parks, the Universal-parks and SeaWorld.

Eric we just finished watching the travel channel program about Disney cruise lines and guess who is the island manager for castaway cay?? Guenter Schmidt. I remember seeing him wave to the ship when it is departing.

Hope that everyone is having a nice Easter and we will be in the chat room at 6pm EDT. Mike

Just a quick note to all you Cruisetoberfest II cruisers. I am having Easter with Dan and Scott. I can't stay late enough to join the chat this evening but did want to post while I have the chance. 174 days seems like so far away. I am getting more anxious every passing day. Spoke with Jean yesterday evening and she is starting early preparations. You remember all the questions we all had before our first cruise? As a matter of fact I still ask Dan numerous questions. Really enjoyed the Passporter that Dan got for me and actually was able to tell Dan some things that he did not know. Can you believe that? He had you all convienced that he knew everything, right?:jester: Looking forward to seeing all af you in October. Bye.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hello Cruisetoberfest II Fans!

Happy Easter!

Glad to see you are doing well! We recorded all the Travel Channel shows last week on the cruises including Disney. Watching those makes me want to go on a cruise so bad, but I have to wait for our September cruise.

We were at WDW last week during the kid's spring break. We stayed at the BCV's and it was just wonderful (or is that magical)! We went to the MK, EPCOT, MGM, played minature golf at Blizzard Beach. We had a great time all around.

One of the highlights of the week was a trip over to Port Canaveral on Friday. Even though there weren't any ships in port, it was just fun to go over there. We went to park at the end of port and walked on the beach. It was windy and cool, but it was a beautiful day and brought back memories of Cruisetoberfest I.

Well, ya'll take care...have a great day!

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

good to hear from you!!!
Happy Easter to you and your family
Why don't you join our chat tonight at 6pm EST?

Hi Folks,

we had a nice chat with Scootersmom, Papa, Medic204, PaulH (Non-cruiser from UK).
Perhaps we can have a larger group next time.

We're going to bed now - It's 1am

Sorry we missed both chats. Hope everyone had a great Easter. Nice to hear from you Kevin!

Interested in hearing more about a Baltimore meet. That would be about a three-hour drive for us.

Mike -
I shoot in JPEG althougH I do have the ability to use RAW. We just got new laptops with Photoshop Elements 2. The Olympus comes with it's own program ( camedia ) and I really haven't been able to play around much with elements yet.

Peter -
Where do I find out more info on the 2 hour jet ski tour? Also, we had alot of our wedding guest stay at All Star Movies in 1999. They all liked the resort very much.

Shari -
I have a full manual and we bought a supplimental guide for the e20n. I'll have to look for more info on snow shots. Of course I will forget it by next snowfall - hopefully 8 to 10 months from now!
We've been taking 2 week trips lately. Last trip I shot a couple hundred with the new camera. Normally I do 3 - 36 exp rolls as an average. I like to pick out little changes that occur over time. I'm by no means a selective picture taker. Thank goodness for digital - has saved me a ton of money by not developing but I still get to enjoy the images on my laptop.

Rosemary -
I missed the chats as well. Had to work Sat and Sun 9a-7p. At least it was too busy for Easter. Even though I kept hearing that we were the only place open for miles around. Yea - just my luck. Makes me wish I was living in Germany - everything closed for the holy days.
I'd be up for a Baltimore meet as long as it's my weekend off. Who knows, at this point DH is looking at a job in DC so we may end up moving to the Balt burbs within the next year.

Did that cover everything?
Oh - HAPPY EASTER, HAPPY PASSOVER, HAPPY SPRING!!!!!!

TTFN

I just printed out the latest Cruisetoberfest listing - haven't done same since 18th Edition. I had forgotten that besides Arlene and myself, there is another Long Islander (actually two more but they seem to be together). We could have our own L.I. mini-meet! Unfortunately, they don't seem to post much (like at all!) on the board. I wonder if they are lurkers. Are you lurking out there??? Too shy to say hi in public.... drop an email Tulirose/Tulirich's way. I would send an email first, but I believe I did that a while back and got no response. I don't want to push or intrude....and no response to this will send me the message that you wish to be left alone....

P.S. - I also forgot TNRobin was going with us again. HI ROBIN!!

P.P.S. - And from a listing with 39 groups, I found only about 20 who post regularly or semi-irregularly on this thread. What's up with that?

Posted by Tulirose a LONG time ago: OOKAAY!!!! We are IN like Flint!!!! Thank you so much Cathy!!! I had to go through the 800 number because the ressies department at the Radisson was closed. Of course, 1-800 ressies department did not have the Cruisetoberfest group rate listed but she booked me at that rate and said I would be contacted if there was a problem.....
I just called the Radisson to doublecheck that we got the Cruisetoberfest rate and they didn't have us down for it - just a notation to have rate checked at hotel itself due to rate request not being found. I had her check computer now and the Cruisetoberfest rate is in there and NOW we are really in like Flint.
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

OK, was going to ask how the transportation to Port Canavaral works; if the hotel takes us or what? Then I see something about a Cruisetoberfest rate at Radison? Someone save me the work of going through the hundreds of posts I've missed and either send me a link or just give me the details. I'm ready to make my reservations....

Forgive this cruising newbie!

Hi Everybody:

Hope everybunny had a nice Easter! Hope you got my little E-mail card.

Tammy & Peter ... I'll try and remember when I get home to post the info about the Raddison ... don't have it with me at work. You just have to be reallllllly forceful when you call and stress you want the CRUISETOBERFEST RATE. That get's you $ 89 for a regular room.

 Our d***** cable dosen't have the travel channel. Guess they are worried that we may go some where out of the area and see what everyone else has! Was the Disney info new?

It was so nice to see the latest POW's home with their families for Easter. Now if the rest of the mess was over it would be really nice.

Gotta run ... Have a Very Mickey Day!

Peter there is no on-board casino's on Disney ships. They have bingo but no casino's.

I recorded the show Cathy. It showed how they made the magic and some behind the scenes shots of the engine room and stuff. We have dish network small dish on the house after using a big ten foot dish for about 12 years.

Peter,
we (Anja & I) are already in contact with CDW (Michelle&Chris) to share a van on 10/11/03. We will either depart from the airport or the Hertz Rental Pick-up in the vicinity. We thought about 10am. After disembarkation we will return to teh airport or Hertz. Perhaps we can also go via both locations on both ways. The van holds about 10 people & luggage and will cost about $150 & tip for the roundtrip. So if you're coming in the day of the cruise your're welcome to join us. Otherwise you may check the List, it contains the info about all the Radisson-people.

Cathy -
I taped the whole 'cruise week' stuff. Do you want a copy?

Nancy
