WOW Sherri...don't keep us waiting! We want DETAILS!!!!!

My biggest thrill latley has been finishing the new Harry Potter book!:p (A GREAT book by the way!)

We have been doing some additional remodeling and now only have ONE bathroom (OH THE HORROR!) until the 2nd one is re-done. New floor(tile) vanity, closet, light fixtures, wall color and medicine cabinet.DH was talking about going camping this weekend but I think "fun stuff" is going to have to take a back seat until we can get the kids OUT of our bathroom!

Sad news yesterday. The daughter of a nurse who works in our OR was killed when she went to a movie with a new boyfriend. It seems the boys ex-girlfriend was upset he took someone else to the movies and ran them both over with her SUV as they left the theater. The girl was killed and the boy is not expected to live. These kids are/were 18 years old. What a terrible waste:(

Mary--- I saw that on the news today. How sad. What is wrong with these kids today.

Shari-- I'm with Mary want more details, don't keep us in suspense. I read on the boards that alot of people were getting motion sickness from the ride. I did get the special invitation for AP holders for a special preview. However, I won't be making an August trip to take advantage of the ride.

So looking forward to the Mid Atlantic meet. Thanks to Tina for all her hard work. If you need me to do anything, just let me know.

I'm waiting for the new Janet Evanovich book from her Stephanie Plum series to come out 7/15/03. In the mean time, I have been reading some James Patterson and Jonathan Kellerman books. I have to take a box of books to the second hand book store and get restocked up. I just love the summer time, as I can catch up with my reading. Plus will need to get some books for the cruise.

Next Thursday DS#1 and I are going to see Tom Jones, he is at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster and I was able to get seats in row 6. I will try to contain myself and not run up on the stage with my underwear. Last time I saw Tom was at one of my nursing conference, he gave a concert sponsored by one of the companies (wonder why those drug and medical supply prices are so high). It was unbelievable how many women were running up to the stage and giving him underwear. He does have a terrific show. My son really likes his music and wanted to go. So we have a date. Norm had no interest in going.

Well, off to bed. Was able to get on line since both sons are out for the night.

So sorry about the bad news. Awful. :(

Many GREAT reports of Mission Space have been written by other "testers." I'm still trying to sort out what I experienced. I think it's better to go in not having any idea of how it will be - as long as you don't have a tendency to motion sickness, claustrophobia, etc. The one thing I will say is that you DO feel some G's. You know how in the cartoons you see the face "warp" when the spaceship lifts off? Well, at one point I felt my face "warp!" At the end I was grinning ear to ear, and bought several souvenirs in the Mission Space gift shop. Couldn't resist!

I didn't take any pics on the actual ride, of course. Not possible. Here are a couple of views in the pre-boarding area:

Hey Jeff - Have you ridden this yet? Did you love it too? Is it toned down from the original? I know they talked about lowering the G forces, but unless they've already done that, I hope they don't!

ok, here's another joke

Why did Beethoven get rid of all the chickens?

Hey Windy! We need your commitment for the Baltimore meet! Have you checked your emails lately?

Mary,
I'm in the last third of the book and I also really like it. I think I will be done with it sometime during the weekend.

Nancy,
talking about James Patterson: He was at a Barnes & Noble in Denver when I was there buying the new Potter, but I didn't have the time to get in line for an autographed book :(

Hey Shari - I'm glad that you had a good time on Mission: Space. We also received an AP invitation for the first weekend in August, so I think we're going to try to head over there to try it out.

We wish you fun for your mini-meet :D We will think of you when we lug around the furniture of a colleague/friend who's moving to a new place on 08/02. Four weeks later we will attend his wedding in Wuppertal, about 150 miles to the northwest.
You may not believe me, but with about 10 weeks to go to our vacation we are already booked out for EVERY weekend until then: Two weddings, a 95th birthday (Gramps' older brother!!), some parties, our 10th anniversary, a couple of first aid courses and finally I have to be at the office at least every other Saturday.

Thanks, Tina.

Now there are some more pics, check it out - or better yet: Send your pic. It should be a JPEG, not larger than 300x300 pixels.

Hey Hey Hey!!! Great job you did there Eric! I remember meeting Kathy and Papa at that exact spot for the first time, smiling those great smiles and waving those American flags. I remember being a bit shy at first but it didn't last very long because it was like meeting a long lost favorite relative again! What a great day and a great cruise that was!

I believe that is Art (Goofynut's other half) behind Kathy.

:teeth: :teeth:

Tina - Not yet because I just got home but by tomorrow we will have made our luncheon reservations!

Great website - Eric!!!

It is so great to finally put faces with names!! And, I promise that I'll get you our picture within the next week or so. We just had our family pic taken 2 weeks ago, and they are supposed to be in on Tuesday.

GREAT job on the web page, Eric!

However, I think those who submitted postage-stamp sized pics :jester: should re-submit something more sizeable, don't you? LOL.

I got that invitation as well and will be there then, too! Every chance I get . . . :teeth:

Eric...web site looks great! I have sent you a picture of TwinAve's family to post on it. I am also looking for a better pic of my family. If I can't find one I'll take another.

Thanks for the praise, Folks.

Shari,
I hope Dan took the hint ;)

Hi Everyone:

Just a quick question. On the Western Caribean do we have a tropical night? I thought we did but wasn't sure..Would kind of like to know so I come dressed appropriately.

Eric - I loved the pictures. Its great to see the face behind the words and soon enough the face will be seen in person.

Thanks lots....

Arlene
