is there an easy way to get 1/2 white hair for MNSSHP?

I have thick black hair that is like wire so I can stand it up pretty well with a little bit of mouse or gel, but how can I get it 1/2 white - I have used the sprays before and they never seeme to cover all the hair and it might be tuff to only get 1/2 - any suggestions

Joico sells ICE Spiker colored hair gels; I have a white one. I'm not sure how well it would work with long hair, though. The color washes out when you shampoo.

Just a thought. DS's school has crazy hair day. I always forget to buy the spray colors so this is what I do (his hair is dark).

Gel, spray whatever I need to do to spike it. Let it dry. Then I use--wait for it. Finger paint. It takes forever to try without a hairdryer, but looks great when it's on.

Once I slicked his hair back and put yellow on his hair and he went as Dash for Hallween. It looked very cartoonish and he won a costume contest with a store bought costume just because of the hair.

thanks for the tip, I went to the website and unfortunatley the nearest salon that carries this product is an hour and a half away - :(

I Googled "ice spiker white" and some sites online were selling it. You could give that a shot.

The finger paint sounds like a good idea too.

That sounds like a great plan since I am looking for that over the top effect!
does it wash out easily?

You could try ebay.

thanks- I should have thought of that!

:wizard: pixie dust to all :)

There are lots of costume places that sell all kinds of things. Do a search for halloween costumes.

I bought the wig from Disney Shopping.
It looks great and wasn't expensive. :)

Sometimes the shops like Claires sell cheap wigs and clip on hairpieces. Maybe one of them can get it for you.

The paint washes off well, just need a few shampoos in a row. Did it 3 times already.

I wouldn't advise flour. I did a flour/egg mixture once on my face to look old and craggy. It looked GREAT, but hurt to remove.
