CRT reservation is prepaid - can you cancel (with 48hrs?) and get all the money refunded to your CC?

Also Disney says this:
"Reservations from Jan 11 - June 30, 2011: Due to a refurbishment of portions of the back side of Cinderella Castle taking place, elements of the restaurant will be refurbished and there will be themed window coverings that will not detract from your experience, but will block the view into Fantasyland."

Do you think this will take away from the experience of eating inside the castle (I'm thinking yes, but what if they seat us away from windows anyway?)? And yes, I realize the whole thing is a rip off, can't believe I am considering it! But I think it would be amazing for a 6 year-old girl to get to eat inside the castle.

Yes, you can get a refund as long as you are in the cancellation period. As for the windows, I don't think it would affect your experience at all. They are colored stained glass for the most part anyway from what I recall - we never tried to look out to see Fantasyland anyway.

I think if you cancel within 48 hours of the reservation you will be charged a cancellation fee. Not sure what it is.

I've cancelled and re-booked my CRT ADR twice in the past month, and always got fully refunded (and re-charged) on my credit card. No issues, as long as it's 48 hours in advance.

I don't think the view is much of the experience at all at CRT. The windows are multipaned stained glass so there really isn't a great view except perhaps from a few window tables where you're close enough to the window to see through individual panes, and I'm sure Disney put the same care into the window coverings that they do into the construction facades when they're refurbishing buildings.

Thanks. Maybe it's not important to see OUT the windows, but I would be disappointed to see window coverings of Disney characters instead of stained glass.

I booked it, I will look at it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

On another note, is it bizarre that I pretty much had my pick of CRT reservations for my whole week in late February, about 60 days out???

CRT is not DH and my favorite place to go (and yes, we think it's over priced), but when I ask our DD(5) what she wants to do on each trip, eat at the castle is always the first thing she says. I think it will be special for your daughter too
