My DD6 would love to do a character meal with Cinderella. princess: I was looking at allears for the menus and it was noted that all CRT meals take 2 TS credits. Those of you that have eaten there is it worth it? Last year we could'nt get a ressie so we did the Princess Breakfast in Epcot. The girls loved it, but of course no Cindy. Has anyone done the dinner at 1900 Park Fare? I don't want to be a party pooper but there are so many great places to eat I don't know if I want to use @TS credits to eat with Cinderella. Help me please!

Here's the big question . . . have the kids EVER eaten in the castle? Such as, for a meal where Cindy was not present?

No...I called everyday last trip and could not get a spot. The only character meals we have done are the Princess Breakfast and Chef Mickey's.

The $40 supper (or $32 breakfast, etc) is not really worth using 2 ts credits if you're paying $38/day for the plan...

But if you're on free dining - why not go for it... That was my reasoning for booking supper there this month with the free dining plan.

And it's going to be much easier to get into this year with the credit increase and new fixed price. :thumbsup2

I've been to lunch both before and after the changes. It's not worth 2TS. Pay out of pocket.

It's all about the experience -- it surely isn't the best value on the Dining Plan. I believe it is actually the worst value on the Dining Plan. Breakfast runs $16 per credit, while a meal at Coral Reef, for example, could run about $60, for just one credit used.

I agree with ElizabethB. I didn't think it was a good value either, so I payed OOP, and I do have the dining plan.

I am going in Sept with DD6. Neither of us have ever eaten at the castle so that alone makes it with the price. However as other posters mentioned it isn't a good use of 2 TS. I plan to pay OOP and it seems reasonable to me for the memory and experience.

We are using the DDP. I figured it out and for where we would go in place of the 2TS points, the price difference isn't huge, so why deal with the hassle of paying OOP. Of course, I keep changing my mind about that. lol

I dunno when you are going, but I hope you decide soon. I tried to get a table for 2 there and it's nearly impossible for the second/third week in Sept. :( :(

We have dinner at 1900 Park Fare every trip...with Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, & Suzy & Perla. Wonderful meal & lots of character interaction. I highly recommend it!! We've never been disappointed.

For those of you that pay out of pocket for CRT, what do you do for the rest of the day and other days? I just can't see doing 2 TS meals (CRT and another) in one day and/or then doing a TS meal on the day we arrive or the day that we leave (which seems more reasonable)? If I paid for CRT OOP, I would have to do 2 more TS meals to get my money's worth out of the DDP, so I would either have to do 2 in one day and one on the day that we arrive or leave or do one on the day we arrive and one on the day that we leave. I just don't see wanting to do that. I don't know - I'll have to think about it.

We are using 2 tc this year. We are going for dinner.

We like to eat in the castle every year. Never miss it! Is it worth it? No probably not. It's very expensive but I just love it. My ds is over the moon for it. It's one thing that I won't give up each year.

To us it's worth it.

If you just want to see Cinderella you get good time with her at 1900 park fare and food is awesome! I"ve done both breakfast and dinner and you can't go wrong with either!

Elmo: I'm planning to pay OOP. We are only staying 3 nights so here is my plan...

Sunday (arrive MCO at 9:30am)
'Ohana dinner - 1 TS

Monday
Breakfast at CRT - OOP
Dinner at CP - 1 TS

Tuesday
Dinner at CM - 1 TS

Wed
Depart 2:00 pm

My DD is a big eater so I'm thinking we are good. I like TS meals and am not so big on counter service. I'm usually not a big buffet person but wanted to do character meals. I choose 'Ohana for the first night so she would get a view of the castle at night and hopefully we can watch wishes from our table. If it were just me or an adult only trip my ADRs would be completely different!

we eat two TS meals every day when we are there. don't stress out about it, just throw another meal in somewhere! if you space them far apart (breakfast and dinner) or an early lunch and late dinner, it will be fine!

This past january we used DDP for CRT and while the "value" probably wasn't the best, the food was great as was the atmosphere.

I'm not sure if they changed the arrangements, but cinderella was not actually in the dining area during our meal. She was downstairs giving photo ops to everyone waiting for their ADRs. She never did come upstairs and as we left she was still taking photos with guests. It is my understanding now that you get a complimentary photo with cindy, but the fairy godmother and others are actually in the dining room. I could be wrong, but if you want to "eat" with cindy you should check that out.

Thanks everyone for the insight. I'm thinking ( and yes it hurts...alot) that I'm going to leave this up to my DD. Cindy is her fav character. DS got to eat at Chef Mickey's and other DD got to see Sleeping Beauty when we did the Princess Breakfast. Thanks hansel1 I didn't know Cinderella was only in the lobby. I'll let DD know who she will see and where and see what she wants to do.
Next question would you do lunch or dinner? We are not big breakfast eaters.
Thanks Sharon

She's only in the lobby for supper, since supper is not a 'character meal'.

Breakfast and Lunch are both 'character meals' with Cinderella and other characters going around to each of the tables upstairs in the dining area.

crt is one of our favorites at disney, we eat there almost every trip. i love the salmon & my hubby likes the pot pie.

i think its worth 2 ts it least once for the experience of eating in the castle alone ntm the food & character interaction.

We were just at CRT for breakfast last week. We thought it was worth it but Cinderella is only in the lobby. Aurora, Snow White, Belle, and the Fairy Godmother each came to our table.
