I've read so many WONDERFUL threads about CRT! Would you recommend AR's for boys? (12,9,8)

TIA :cool1:

We took our DS when he was 3, mainly because mom  wanted to try it. He was less than thrilled. The princesses made a fuss over him and he got pretty embarassed. We are going this trip and DS is 7, but now we have a DD who is 2. He's not happy, but he's doing it, plus I booked a couple of special things for him too.

roliepolieoliefan, thanks so much! What are some of the special things planned for DS?

My DS is nearly 14 and it's one of the meals he specially requests. I'm not sure if he likes the food or the princesses better, and at this age, I'm not asking! :sad2:

DS is doing the Pirate Cruise, the Monday we are there. Plus I booked Chef Mickeys twice., his favorite restaurant in WDW. And we will eat at Sci-Fi also, another favorite. Plus we are spending 1 day to either just swim at the resort or do a water park, whatever he wants. It will be DD's 2nd birthday while we are there, so I am really making an extra effort so he doesn't feel left out. I really enjoyed seeing the princesses and eating in the castle. I say "go for it". It s a "magical" experience. Good Luck!

Unless they really want to go, I would probably skip CRT with those boys. (Have you asked them?)

When we go in October with my Dnephews, we've been asked to skip the castle. For our character meals, we are doing Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. If only WDW would have a Toy Story meal, they'd be deliriously happy! ;)

The only "boy" we've taken to CRT who really enjoyed it was DH's BIL (age 51), but he enjoyed the whole trip more than anyone!

I would say to ask them....

My ds12 wouldn't be caught dead doing something so blatantly 'girly'....

well, several years ago we took our son w/us to cindy's breakfast. he is now 24 years old. breakfast for 3 adults--66$, picture of tristan and cindy--priceless. he had a great time!!! :earboy2:

MY 14 and 13 year old will be eating there. I want to eat in the castle and the lunch menu actually looks better than the dinner one. We also have a daughter, 11.

My boys will like it just fine or suffer in silence. It's not like they have to dress like princess or dance or anything.

It's lunch where Princess happen to roam.

Totally agree! My 11-yr-old would just die! We're doing LTT and CP.

I would see if they want to go & if so then great. My ds who is 6 is only going to CRT because he has two sisters (4 & 9) so he has no choice :teeth:

If I had 3 boys I probably would not choose CRT but again ask your men what they would like..they might really enjoy the experience of eating in the castle. Have fun!

DITTO...it is a good thing we did this when DS (9) was little and have the lovely photos to provie it because he will no longer dine with princesses. BUMMER! princess: pirate: :earboy2:
