CRT with 2 adults only?? will it be ODD

Hubby and I are going to disney in a few short weeks. We have just upgraded to the Deluxe dining plan( 3 table service meals per person per day)
I am the overplanner and have booked all our ADRS...I am using extra credits and booked Cinderellas Royal Table for me ( i mean US lol)


I booked several places this trip that we havent been too before, this was one of them....


When i told hubby this, he laughed and said we would probably be a little out of place there/ the only adults there without kids??

He has me thinking about cancelling?? Will it really be that ODD ( we are 35/38 years old husband and wife pair)

We were seated by the window and watched fireworks whilst the table behind us had a glass slipper proposal

definitely do not cancel!! my most recent dinner there was w/a friend who is a wdw fanatic like me, but had never dined there... two moms sans kids and it was outstanding!!! we, too, had a window seat (but no fireworks) and enjoyed everything about the meal... go for it!

Is it bad that I sat for a minute to try to find out what ODD meant, thinking it was an acronym of sorts...

At any rate, if you want to do it, don't worry what anyone else thinks. There are lots of childless traveling parties that do the character meals.

For example, in just under 2 weeks (yay!) I'll be doing Tusker House breakfast with my Mom (I'm 32). Later on that week, I'll be doing Crystal Palace solo. I have no worries about either of them (especially since we did TH last year and it was great), at least worries about "looking odd". I am a bit confused as to what do I do with my camera at CP while I'm getting food, since I don't feel that comfortable just leaving it on the table...

So, if you want to do it, do it. Don't let the potential thoughts of others hold you back. You'll have a good time and chances are no one will even notice or care what your situation is. Those that do care... well, they don't matter anyway .

Last December my family (all adults) went to CRT for dinner and no one looked at us funny and we didn't feel out of place. The Princesses all stopped by to say "hi" and pose for photos. Overall it was a lot of fun and I would do it again.

Go and don't look back and don't think about it. DH and I have been in there several times now and we've enjoyed it each and every time.

Ha ha, I feel the opposite!

We have a 9:30pm ressie at CRT. It was all that I could get for our party of 8 at the last minute. I am worried that I will feel ODD having kids there at that hour LOL!

Yes, adults go. Don't go, though, if you are mainly interested in the food. Go only if you are mainly interested in the experience of eating in the castle and meeting the princesses. You can get much better food elsewhere on property.

Thanks everyone...Its my hubby who is a little freaked out ,lol......as for us, we are *NOT* Fancy people meal wise and i looked at ALL the menus of each place before I booked the ADR at that place. I just want to eat at THE CASTLE! I am going to keep the reservation, hubby can just hide under the table when the princesses come

We did breakfast here in February, and wondered the same thing, but we did want to eat in the castle, and as we were also on the Deluxe Plan we could justify the expense. What we found was that the Princesses were quite funny with us because we were a couple, making smart little grown-up comments, rather than the cutesy stuff. Like they knew that it could potentially be embarrassing and they made it more humorous. One of the best pics from our whole trip is DH posing with a princess and his free sword, and he said he would like to go back!

The only thing that bothered me was that I suddenly felt all dishevelled and plain in my park clothes, compared to those gorgeously dressed and made up specimens of young womanhood

Hubby probably won't want to hide under the table when the princesses come, especially Jasmine. Hub's eye were wide and he had a silly grin...

My 2 1/2 year old graddaughter spied Jasmine and said, "Wook, Mommy, Jasme's nikked (naked)!" We all got a big hoot out of that.

Obsessive Defensive Disorder
My sis and her group of friends from high school (class 0f '68) meet somewhere every year and this year was WDW. They stayed at BLT and ate at CRT for lunch. This was about eight 60+yo ladies. Said they had a blast.

DH and I always eat at the castle, favorite part of trip. We also get our pictures taken with the princesses, we always notice that there are as many folks sans kids as there are folks with kiddies. We even saw a proposal this past valentine's day! Go for it, it is fun!

We are grandparents and went by ourselves in January. We had a great time! Cinderella said something to my spouse and he didn't respond. I had to explain to her that my Prince Charming was getting hard of hearing. She laughed and said that her's was that way at times. We thought the food was good, not our best meal, but a lot better than I expected, We also had fun with the other princesses.
