Allearsnet says that all kids get a wand or sword with their meal. If our son is sharing a meal with us (he is going to be two and doesn't eat much at all) will they still give him a sword, or is there any way that we can buy an extra one? He is very perceptive and I'm sure he will notice if every other child in the resturant has one. I guess we could pay for a meal for him, but it seems like a waste of money.

I have friends who took their 2-year-old DD and, yes, she got a wand. I assume boys are treated just as special as girls. :thumbsup2

What exactly is the wand like? Is it just a piece of plastic, or is it the kind that has glittery goo and sparkles in it - KWIM?

My 2yo daughter did get a wand. It was a little plasticy glittery wand..and of course she loved it. Don't worry - they will give him a sword.

Girls get plastic wands (my DD4 LOVES hers and carried it around with her all week) and boys get swords. I was under the impression that everyone had to pay to eat. Do you not have to pay for him b/c he's only 2? I hated having to use 2 TS for my girls to sit there and take about 2 bites of food apiece Hope you enjoy it!

Since he is under the age of 3, he would be free. Kids' can eat free under age 3 at buffets, family style and all-you-can eat type places. :)

Just curious, how big are the swords? Anyone have any pics of the wands and/or swords or a link to a pic? Thanks!

The gave my dd18 months a wand, but not right away. Maybe the CM didn't notice at first since dd18months didn't have a princess outfit on and dd4 did. Anyway, since she was under 3, she was free. When another CM came around to check on us, he noticed that she didn't have a wand and went and got one for her. Dd18 months wand was a little frayed at the end and I just assumed the CM was being nice and giving us an "extra" one that they wouldn't have been able to give to paying child because it was slightly damaged. My dd18 months didn't care...she was just happy to have something to wave around.
