So I am in very early planning mode ... but it's half the fun!

First, my CRT situation:

The other day when my sister told my three year old nephew that we are going back to the World, he replied "and we're going to eat in the castle this time, okay mama?". We're not sure how he even knows about CRT, but we're going with it. We're thinking breakfast is the way to go ... early park access and three toddler boys (the twins will only be 2 yo) ... but any advice/suggestions is welcome. (We will likely be on the DxDP and will have budgeted the 2 TS credits for it.)

Second, my NYE dining dilemma:

We are arriving on December 30th. (Which means most the the Xmas crowd will be able to make ADRs for NYE long before I will.) We WON'T be attempting one of the major parks on NYE. Taking that into consideration what resort restaurants do you think we might have a chance of getting ADRs at on NYE? We're not looking for any "fancy NYE" meal, just a regular Disney one - likely at about 6PMish. (We are currently booked at BLT, but may change to Kidani - so we're hoping that we can get something at the MK resorts or the EP resorts. Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana, Whispering Canyon, Kouzina, Big River Grill, even Cape May are all places we would be fine with.)

Finally, does Mickey's Backyard BBQ run during the holiday season?

Thanks in advance!

from the bottom.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is seasonal. It runs March through the end of December. I think it ends 12/30 but you may want to check (i.e. that end date may vary by when the last Thursday or Saturday is).

Ohana then CM would be my suggestions for your NY dining. It appears that Disney holds some reservations until the 180 day so you should have a good chance of getting what you want.

At those ages the boys should be fine with the princesses at CRT. Entering before the park opens is very popular. We usually do lunch since none of us are big breakfast people, unless it's near 11:00 AM. The boys should all get swords and the two two year olds will be free. CRT will probably give them french toast sticks or something similar to eat. With that number of people you will get two different pictures with Cinderella.

Hootch ... thanks for your reply! :thumbsup2

If the BYBBQ runs NYE (the last Saturday in December) in might be an option - we'll see. It's good to know we should have options for NYE if we call at our 180 day mark.

If we can't get CRT "before the park opens" we would probably wait until later in the morning ... at least until the "rope drop crush" had adequate time to disperse. Looking at the menus, I think the breakfast foods would suit all of our tastes the best -especially the boys.

As for the princesses ... we took them to 1900 PF this past August - all three were a bit "awestruck" by "pretty" Cinderella - they didn't say too much, just stared. The twins were totally fine when the stepsisters plastered big lipstick kisses on their foreheads. (The three year old wanted none of that - but though it was funny because it was happening to his brothers.) Two photos with Cinderella would be great ... extra copies to share with the relatives back home. (It seems the only time the 8 of us get a photo together is at Disney.)
