I have them both booked different days which is better? I have 2 boys 8 and 2 so princess is not at the top of the list for them :rotfl: its for me !!! What would you do???

I enjoy Akershus so much better on many different aspects but think everyone should try CRT at least once!

At least at CRT the boys will get plastic swords. of course its $$$ so if the swords matter just get some from the dollar store and eat at Akershus - the food is better there!

Crt for sure. The castle experience in itself is worth it. ASH we didnt' like it. the FOOD was horrible :( we went for dinner. We left hungry it was so gross. But some people like that kind of stuff. In all honesty I would go with CRT!! Much better food, and experience. I mean come on its the castle!

With 2 boys, I would definitely say the castle. My son absolutely loved it there. He was 6 at the time. He thought the sword was real, and told everyone when he got home that he got a real sword at a real castle. He also really liked the knight in shining armor suit that they had downstairs. Both of my children also loved the wishing ceremony they do there. We are going again in a few months, and my son (who is now 8) and my daughter (who is 6) keep asking if we can eat in the castle again. We also did the Storybook breakfast at Norway, which my daughter loved, but my son not so much. My son doesn't like the whole princess thing, but he liked the castle since they made a boy element to it with the swords. My daughter liked them both since there were princesses at both, but she liked the castle better though. As a mom, the wishing ceremony at the castle is really sweet to watch if your kids get into it. The kids are given a wishing star, and they have to hold it tight with their eyes closed while they make a wish. It's a short little ceremony that they do, but I thought it was really sweet. They say bippity boppity boo at the end, and that is the magic that is supposed to make their wish come true. My daughter had her eyes closed so tight and you could tell that she was concentrating so hard on her wish. It was so cute to watch.

We much prefer Akershus and I have 2 boys. The princesses really dote over the "princes" in your party. Cheaper and up to 5 or 6 princesses throughout your meal. :thumbsup2

I just realized that you didn't say whether your reservations were for breakfast or lunch. We went for breakfast at both places, so I'm not sure if they do the wishing ceremony at the castle at lunch or not. I'm guessing they do, but I don't know for sure. We had the same amount of princessses at both places though for breakfast. There were 5 princesses at both the castle and Norway.

Sorry they are both for breakfast. Im so torn! Id rather the castle but its OOP I dont want to waste 2 credits on a breakfast thats for sure! So big $$$! What to do what to do?? Maybe Ill drag them to both! yea right:lmao:! The 4 guys little and big in my party may have my head for that!!! :confused3 Im so confused! Thank you for the quick responses! errrrg! Im so confused!:confused::confused:

We have done breakfast at Akershus and the food is very yummy. We saw 5 princesses - Belle for pictures, and Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora and Ariel circulated. The character interaction was a bit rushed though.

In March, we'll do CRT mainly for the experience of eating in the castle. I'd say that it depends on what you are interested in. If you want a guarantee of seeing Cinderella, do the Castle (or 1900 Park Fare). If you want to be in a Castle, obviously do the Castle. While Akershus is a bit Castle like, I don't think it's a complete replacement for the Castle if you've never done CRT before. Even though we did Akershus, my DDs kept asking whether it was possible to go into the Castle. But if you *just* want to meet Princesses and aren't too picky about which ones you meet and aren't going to miss being in the Castle, do CRT.

who has better food? I really would love to eat in the castle but I cant swallow the price! Is it worth 44 per adult?

The food's OK. I think you are mainly paying for the experience. I think I had some sort of banana french toast at the castle which I thought was really good (they had other stuff too), but I don't think any breakfast could be worth that price if it was based on the food alone (I feel the same about the price of the Norway breakfast). Even though it is pricey, we are going to do the Castle again this year, because I think that this could be the last trip that my DS8 will be interested in these type of breakfasts. We go every year and a half to two years, so I want to do it while they still feel it is magical.

I can honestly say that the Akershus breakfast is very good. It's expensive too but you don't feel it on the DDP. I haven't eaten at CRT but I can assure you that it's not worth the price for the food. You're paying for the castle atmosphere. It really comes down to that. If you want to eat in the Castle, then it's worth it. If you don't then go to Akershus.

Well after reading all of your responses I spoke to my DS8 and he actually wants to go to both !:scared1: I was shocked ! I think he LOVED all the extra attention he got from them last year when we saw them in toon town! So as of right now I guess we are keeping them both! Thanks for all of the input it really helped!!!!

Maybe this option is the way to go! Then you won't second guess your decision. This is actually what we did the one year that I couldn't decide between the two. We used the dining plan for Norway and paid OOP for CRT. The Jasmine at ours was really pretty - maybe the big guys won't mind so much after all ;)

Last year my Dbrother who was 24 at the time kinda skeeved jasmine out by complimenting her "amazing abs" ! It was funny because we took the picture of them together 1 sec after he said it the look on her face was priceless! So its funny that you say jasmine! I guess I can sell him on the multi princess meals with the jasmine bait! I guess its easier than I thought to talk 4 guys into going to see princesses!!! I like that angle!!:rotfl:
