On our upcoming trip, on different dates we have dinner reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table (CRT), Akerhaus, and 1900 Gala.

We are on the dining plan. I'm somewhat concerned with CRT's 2 table settings per person. I hear that only Fairy God mother is there and maybe Cinderella is at the beginning of the event.

My daughter REALLY wants to go to Cinderella's castle. Also we have a 12 year old son that we don't want to drag through each "Princess" meal.

* Is CRT for dinner worth 2 tickets. I hear that the characters do not mingle with the guests.
* Which ones would you cancel? We been to Akerhaus last year and it was very good.

Also we are going to the P&P party as well and have AAA Storytelling. So we will be "Princess Out" by the end of the tirp.

We have been lucky enough to go to all 3 every trip, but we usually pay OOP for CRT to save the 2 credits. Next trip we're doing DDP so it won't be a big deal. If I had to skip one, I'd skip Akershus as we adore 1900 Park Fare, and eating at the castle is always fun. Hope this helps! We also prefer Akershus's breakfast over the lunch or dinner.

We were at Disney in November. We attended all 3 and here is my take.

I really wanted CRT breakfast or lunch but could not get it so I went with the dinner. You have a quick meet and greet with Cinderella with a photo in the entry downstairs and then move upstairs for dinner. During dinner Fairygod mother and mice perform and they do mingle with the tables. You get the photo pkg delivered to your table before dinner is over. My dd, she is 4, had an appt at Bibidid Bopbidi Boutique in castle at 5:15pm and then we had dinner at 6:20pm She finished and we walked right next door - that was great. Food was better than anticipated. It was expensive though but it was at the castle which dd really wanted and she was just happy to see Cinderella plus earlier that day she had spent quite a bit of time chatting with her at the princess hall of fame in Toontown.

Because I could not get the brkfst or lunch at CRT I also booked a lunch at Askerhaus - it was awesome - no Cinderella but we had great time with Belle, Snow White, Jasmine, Ariel and Aurora plus the food and the service was actually quite good - great princess bang for your buck - atmosphere nothing special but for princesses it was great.

We also booked 1900 Park Fare for dinner - it was loud, poor service, it was as though they had every light on and turned up on high it was so bright in there and food was barely mediocre with poor selection at buffet - however you did have good visits with Cinderella, the prince, Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters.

So not sure if this helps but this is what we experienced.

CRT is really not worth the two credits. More cost effective to pay out of pocket...

Thanks for the information. My daughter was in tears when we told her that we were thinking about skipping out on the CRT so we decided just to go with that. I'm thinking of canceling 1900 Park Fare.

How much is CRT per person. Perhaps we will pay out of pocket for that.

We're doing all 3. Dinner at 1900, Dinner at CRT, and Breakfast at Norway. I have a 3 1/2 year old dd who loves the Princesses. I would have rather had breakfast at CRT, but I couldn't get it. That's ok, she will enjoy seeing the mice.

Last trip we had CRT for breakfast. Just the meet n greet w/ Cinderella alone was worth it for us.

We've been to all three, and the one I would skip is 1900 Park Fare. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't so good that I would go again.

We had dinner at the castle before it turned into a character meal - I liked the food alot. We had prime rib and it was really good. We're going there for lunch in a few weeks - I'm paying out of pocket instead of using two dining credits.

I really like Akershus for lunch - my favorite is a Norwegian dish that's similar to our meatloaf. And their desserts are wonderful!

I would crunch the numbers on your 2 TS meal as well as your other meals. I crunched the number last time with one 2 credit TS meal (CRT), and we still came out ahead on the DDP. I crunched the numbers this time on the 2008 DDP with our 2 credit TS meals at Jiko, and we still come out ahead. One 2 credit TS meal in a week seems to be fine on DDP, and I didn't want to try to figure out where to cram in two more TS meals.

I would do CRT at least once - there is something about eating in the castle that even your 12 yo DS might get a kick out of. The breakfast and lunch both have princesses mingling while you eat (different than dinner), so you might want to consider those meals.

According to allears.net, CRT dinner is $41 for adults and $26 for children (3-9 years old).

Have a great trip!

If you are going to CRT for dinner for the characters, dinner is not worth it. Cinderella is the only meet-and greet character there. The Fairy Godmother and Suzy/Perla are upstairs, but don't meet for pictures.

I would definitely go with the other 2 (at least).

Hi There! We like Akerhus as well. I would like to visit the Grand Floridian property but this is not a priority for this visit. So I think I'm going to take your advice and cancel 1900 Park Fare and keep CRT and maybe pay out of pocket. I have to figure if paying out of pocket is going to cost though (compared to how much a Dining ticket is).

Wow Joanna - what a big family you have!

No character pictures but can you video tape at the CRT dinner or is that discouraged (or not allowed).

Thanks for the advice!!!
