CRT reservations

I have a ressie for CRT for 4. Friends decided to join us on our trip and I have been calling to try to change the ressie to 5. So far nothing available. Would I be turned away if I showed up with 5?

the option of dropping one person. I don't have experience with this particular issue, but I have dined at CRT. There are few tables that handle more than four people. The dining room is small and packed. Last time we ate there there was a larger group and they were split between two adjacent tables that were next to each other.

I'm not saying that it is impossible to walk up with a fifth body but the restaurant layout is not conducive to that.

We are facing slightly the same dilema as you in December. We've got ressies for 4 and our friends are now traveling with us so we're trying to add two. We're staying CL and were able to make our ressies right away. I contacted our CL peeps and asked them to add two. They said they would "apply" two weeks prior to the reservation and should be able to add them at that time but couldn't do anything before then unless someone else cancelled and they could squeeze us in. I guess, with all that rambling, I'm saying that hopefully at the two week mark you can add your person. We were told that if you show up with the two additional people, you'd probably have to cut it down to 4 people or give up the ressie. We don't want to give it up and will let the DHs eat elsewhere if we can't add 2 people to our exsisting ressie.

My sister had reservations last September for herself, my neice and my daughter. At the last minute, my mother wanted to join them. My sister went up to the podium to check in and said "reservations for 4" and gave her name, there was no problem. They did not even say "no, we have reservations for 3". Give it a try.
