The last time I made my dining reservations for Disney, we had 8 in our party but 1 was under 1 year old, but I was supposed to include them in the reservation bc of fire code. This year, we are planning to go to CRT for the first time and I understand it has to be paid in full up front. We will have 9 this time with one just over 1 and will not be eating. Do I still make the reservation for 9 even though she is not eating? How does this work? I know I will need to do it online at 6am that morning instead of waiting until 7 to speak to a cast member because these reservations go fast.

The price will be calculated based on the composition of your party.

Always, always, always make dining reservations for the total number in your party...including infants and toddlers. Get the reservation, then work backwards from there if you have to.

If I were you I would just call disney's reservation desk. It would be insane to have to pay $50 for a 1 year old.

Also, if you want more flexibility with times, perhaps consider a lunch reservation at CRT instead. We're going the last week in June/first week in July, and there are many CRT lunch reservations available for lunch even though it is only 3 months away.

When I made my reservation, I put in for 6 of us. There will be 3 adults, 2 kids, and a 1 year old. The price automatically adjusted for the ages listed in MDE. So the kids were charged kid prices and the baby was free.

Disney does have some messed up systems. I am told to book ressies for 3 last time, because I have a guide dog and they wanted to make sure there was enough room, so I did and for 15 days, everyone was mad that we added the dog to the ressies. This time I booked for only two because there is only two of us. I may be wrong, the only two I am concerned about are HDDR and beaches and cream. HDDR because the floor area people are walking around so cramped, and beaches and cream because they are so small. But whatever, I just remember everyone restaraunt getting upset that we were told to add the dog in.

But for the baby, if you book under my Disney experience, and add the people in, the baby will come up under 3 and they will not charge, but there will be a seat for her car seat or high chair. At least that is how we have done it with the new baby, we were never charged.

Put in for total party, including the baby. On the next page they ask you to list your party. Then, when you pay, it will break down the party by age (adults, child, infant) and price it accordingly (including no charge for baby).
