CRT Party of 4 is now party of 5

I have a 5:45pm ressie at CRT in June for my family of four to celebrate my birthday! Woot!

Now, we're thinking about asking my DS17's BFF to go on vacation with us. So....can we sneak him in? Do I need to call and try to get a table for 5?(which is probably impossible!) Should I cut DS17 and his pal loose and only show up with a party of 3? Maybe later times will open up and I can get a later ressie?

They would probably stick a chair at the end of your table for 4. We were a party of 5 the whole time and most of our tables were exactly that way. I would call first, if the CM says no then just keep the ressie and go with the 5th person, ask to see the manager when you get there, it really should be no big deal but you never know.

CRT requires a deposit. If you show up with fewer people, you will likely pay the ($10? $20?) no-show fee for your son.

Because it is the smallest restaurant onsite, it is probably not a good idea to just show up with an unexpected person either - especially one that changes your party from an even number to an odd number, due to table capacity.

I would say keep trying to change your reservation, and if you can't, make SURE you cancel the fourth person outside the required time - I think it's 24 hours.

Try and call. Because you pay ahead now the dinner reservations at CRT don't seem as hard to get. If you can't get him in, I would try to reduce to 3 to avoid the extra charge. Good luck.
