Having done both I would pick the teaparty. The girls are given a wonderful american girl type doll, a tiara and a bracelet. They sing, hear stories, and get to dance with Sleeping Beauty. It is an event! CRT is a character meal, the princesses rotate from table to table but you don't really get special attention.
I haven't done the teaparty but have done CRT twice. I believe that the tea party is just Sleeping Beauty....so, if your daughter really loves the princesses, she may like to see other ones as well (my dd wouldn't have been happy with 'just' sleeping beauty...but that's just her. only you know your daughter!)
Have fun no matter what you decide!
The tea party is just Aurora and the hostess, Rose Petal. It is quite entertaining with stories, music and dancing with Princess Aurora, plus time for chatting and autographs. The food for the adults will be better at CRT, IMO, but DD loved her heart shaped sandwiches and the dessert is great! Keep in mind that at the tea party your DD will receive a tiara, an Aurora doll (the size of an American Girl doll) with a birth certificate, a bracelet, a thank you note from Aurora and princess scrapbooking supplies along with the tea party food and entertainment. I guess my vote is for the tea It was a magical opportunity and it is what my DD talks about the most.
If you want to see lots of princesses, we had a great time at the Princess Storybook Lunch at Akershus in Epcot. I believe it is less expensive than CRT. When we were there in January we saw Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Mulan and Jasmine. At that time we had dinner at CRT, but it was before the price increase and there were no characters at dinner, just photo opportunities with Cinderella in the waiting area. Whatever you decide, have a great trip!
I have 2 sons ages 1 and 3 years but we will be going to CRT for dinner to satisfy my princess needs.
No intention of a highjack but if someone could tell me what the CRT does involve I would appreciate it. The castmember who helped me make the reservation was very unclear.
I make the ressie for the tea party -- I know we would have fun at CRT too, but maybe we'll save that for a trip in a few years. Right now, dd is just the right age for the tea party, and I know it will be magical for her.

Enjoy yourselves! My DD is playing with her Aurora doll right now! She even used her Disney Dollars to buy a Tink outfit for her. The fun never ends!!!
We enjoyed the experience at CRT, but the perfectly princess tea party did seem more special and memorable. My dd 4 LOVES her doll (who is now dressed as Jasmine) and plays with her "little sister" almost every day.
