CRT or Princess Storybook breakfast?

Just wondering what experiences have been with princess breakfasts?
We have never tried either of them. My DDs will be 6, 3 at the time so this is a must!
On our last trip we opted for the Gala Feast instead of using the 2 table service credits on CRT and the girls loved it but they want more princesses this time around.
I've heard good things about both so I"m having trouble deciding. I guess the major difference is in the location?? Is it that much more thrilling to be in the castle?
Also, we will be traveling on the weekend after thanksgiving so I understand that all of the christmas decorations will be up...don't know if that comes into play at all?

Hiya -

have only been to the Storybook breakfast - which was fabulous!!! loads of character time - we had:
Belle for the entry photo, Aurora, Jasmine, Snow White, and Mulan doing table duty - it was really lovely. (another day friends had Jasmine, Snow White, Alice and someone else I don't remember..)
Breakfast was nice too!! Part family plate at table, part buffet... And we did the first one of the day, so got into Epcot before opening, and got the usual pics of the big ball etc with NO ONE else in them.... and one of us could run off to get Fast passes for soarin after opening too....

We have done both, although it was several years apart. Some things to consider:

Will you be on the dining plan? CRT is two credits, Princess Storybook is one (unless things have changed).

Who are your daughters' favorite princesses? DD6 LOVES Snow White above all other princesses. We picked Princess Storybook on our last trip because she mainly wanted to see Snow White (the reservations person said Snow White might appear at CRT, but the best chance was Princess Storybook). We had the BEST Snow White ever, and DD (who was 5 at the time) said it was "the bestest day of her life". The interaction of all the princesses was very good. We even got to see Mulan, who DD9 likes although she is not into the whole princess thing (although Mulan seemed a little stiff and rehearsed). Princesses are never guaranteed to be at the character meal, so our backup plan was to find Snow White in Germany if necessary. (She also comes to MK, but we always seem to miss her as she is at the very front of the park.) If your daughters love Cinderella, definitely do CRT. Cinderella is not at Princess Storybook, just CRT and 1900 Park Fare (and Toontown, but not for a meal).

If your daughters want to see Ariel, I think Princess Storybook is the only character meal to see her, and she is not always there. We did not see her at breakfast when we went, but I think she greets at the entrance during lunch and dinner.

It is very cool to eat in the castle, especially for little princesses. DD6 hasn't done CRT (we went with our older daughter before DD6 was born), so we might have to do that sometime just for the experience.

Food was better at Princess Storybook, but we did CRT several years ago so it is not really a fair comparison.

That probably doesn't help much! If you haven't done either, I'd pick based on whether or not you are on the dining plan and who your kids most want to see. You can always pay out of pocket for CRT if you are on the Dining Plan and don't want to use two table service credits.

We just got back, and did Gala Feast, and Storybook. Storybook was great for getting more princesses. The day we were there, we saw, Mary Poppins (outside) Belle (she is the host, and always there) Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Mulan, and Jasmine. Ariel is sometimes there, but not often, so what I suggest is going to the MK during Magic Hours, get to the Grotto, and you will have a short wait. It is great, she spends a lot of time with each child.

Storybook Breakfast!

We went last September, and I'm planning on going again. We did a CRT dinner, although dinner is a whole other animal, and we just weren't thrilled with it. Food was so-so, and it was rushed. Storybook was more leisurely, and you get a little more time with each princess. Food was good too, and you also get a souvenir pic!
