Since I do not want to use 4 TS credits to go to both CRT & HDDR, I need your opinions, especially if you've been to both. ;) Our DD's will be 6 & 8, & I honestly don't think they care whether we go to CRT or Akershus- they are just excited to see the princesses. BUT, IMO, this is their chance to eat at the castle though (we're there for Free Dining). If we went with CRT, we would try Whispering Canyon instead of HDDR. I realize they are not the same, but I though it would be a fun dining experience either way.

We're going for 6 nights, & I just can't justify using 4 of the 6 TS credits for two meals. Please help! :worship: Thanks!

I would first review the menus. We've done HDDR about 6 times and love it especially youngest DD, she couldn't stop talking about it. Never did CRT, we just don't care for the menu and for breakfast its just not worth 2 TS credits in our opinion. We have done Akershus and I didn't really care for it (maybe because Sleeping Beauty wasn't there that day).

Given the ages of your girls I think I'd go with CRT if the menu suits you.

If we decide (and can get) CRT, we would be going for lunch. If we did Akershus instead of CRT, we would do breakfast (lunch & dinner would not work for us...although DH would enjoy it). I've checked out the menus for all four places, and feel there's nothing exceptional on any of them. We'll be going for the show, princesses, or atmosphere. Although the unlimited sangria at HDDR is quite tempting! :lmao:

LMAO on our last trip we ate here just so DD23 could have her bud light. Trip was on me and drinking at the other TS restaurants got too expensive after 2 martinis. LOL Just left the waitress an extra tip. Well we do love HDDR but free booze doesn't hurt. LOL

A few years ago I went with DS, DDIL and my 2 Grandkids. At the time they were 4 and 6. We did both CRT breakfast and HDDR. Although they both liked both, HDDR was the big hit, by far. They still talk about HDDR but the kids have pretty much outgrown the princesses now, and don't talk about that meal.
I would do HDDR.
Good Luck in your decision

All of my 3 dd's would pick HDDR over CRT. We have also been to Askerhaus. While we liked CRT, we actually saw more "princesses" at Askerhaus.....I don't count Alice or the Fairy Godmother as princesses. Also, DD was disappointed that CRT Belle was in the blue dress. If you are looking for Belle in the yellow dress, your only choices are Askerhaus and princess meet & greet in toon town.

With girls your age I would probably prefer a princess meal to HDDR. However, if you are thinking of Akershus and think that would be fine with the girls, I would do that and HDDR. That way you could more or less have both experiences (minus the castle). Anyway, we love the atmosphere at Fort Wilderness and you could even combine the HDDR with some other activity there (Campfire Singalong/Movie).

I have been to all 3. Love all 3. Now it's hard to compare in my opinion HDDR to the others since that is dinner and a GREAT show.
CRT -is a great experience.
WCC- is good food & fun .
I think CRT would work best for you.

We've done both CRT & HDDR. When looking at your options: HDDR & Akershus vs. CRT & WCC - I think it's a no-brainer to go with HDDR & Akershus. There's not a huge difference between CRT & Akershus - yes, it's more of a magical experience to eat in the castle, but you will still get to see the princesses at either CRT or Akershus & that's what's important to your girls. Plus there's a huge difference between HDDR & WCC - sure WCC can be a fun dinner, but HDDR is on a whole other level - it is sooooo much fun, a very enjoyable dinner show!

Thank you so much for your input! :grouphug:

I think I'm going to try for Akershus & Hoop-Dee-Doo. Now, I just have to wait for June 26 @ 7am & hope I can get them both. :cool1:

You guys are the best!!! :thumbsup2

I think the Hoop-Dee-Doo is a wonderful show, but I would recommend that instead of Norway, add dinner at 1900 Park Fare and enjoy Cinderella's Gala Feast.

My oldest daughter still loves to visit the Grand Floridian and see Cinderella and Prince Charming and laugh at the step-sisters. It is one table service, in a beautiful setting, and has great character interaction.

Since it is outside a park, you can do this the first night you are there to get "prepped" for the park experience. If you don't have park hoppers, this also allows you to visit any park during the day and have your evening reservation here. If you plan things well, you can eat dinner, watch the water parade and then head back to your resort.

***NOTE*** This advice is worth what you paid for it. :rotfl2:

That sounds like another good option. :goodvibes I haven't read very much about 1900 Park Fare, so how's the food at dinner? It's a buffet, right?

It is a buffet with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella. These characters are all "face" characters and talk and interact. The wicked step-mother and her girls are hilarious, in our humble opinon.

The food is a buffet. The last time I went I had the greek salad, strawberry soup, chicken curry, portobello mushroom pasta, and a wonderful bread pudding. My hubby had the prime rib, my daughter had the salmon, and my son had muscles.

There were a few things I didn't like, but with the buffet, I just sampled until I found a few things I liked and then had a great meal.

We usually ask to be seated in the "side room" which tends to be quieter, but still visited by the characters.
