This will be our first trip as a family to Disney. My daughter is 10, and for a while, CRT was number 1 on her list, but I started showing her other places, and now she is liking 1900 Park Fare. I like the fact that 1900 Park Fare is only 1 dining credit. For those who have been to both, what do you recommend? We are also going to Akershus one night if that helps. TYIA

1900 Park Fare doesn't compare to CRT. CRT is in the castle, and it feels like it. She will get to meet several princesses there instead of just one at 1900 Park Fare (and at 1900, Cinderella shows up at dinner only), and at CRT you will get a specially-posed photo shoot with Cinderella before the meal (you pay for those photos separately, if you want them). 1900 Park Fare feels like the small hotel dining room that it is. Akershus is nice- kind of like an old-fashioned European house, but again, it doesn't compare to the magic of eating in the castle.

CRT costs 2 dining credits & is hard to get into for a reason. It will be a more special experience for your little girl. That kind of experience is why you're going to Disney.

We went for dinner on our first night last year and loved it so much that we are doing it again this year. The food was great and the stepsisters were
Hilarious! I've never been to CRT but am planning on it when my daughter turns 10.

Thank you. I think we will do CRT. I want this trip to be as magical as possible. With our daughter's heart condition, we have spent too much time in hospitals and paying medical bills. Our family needs make some magical memories. Thank you so much for your response. It helped me make this decision.

Both are great, but for the shear fact that it's an extra TS credit, I'd go for 1900 PF....I'm assuming you were going for dinner though, right? Or Breakfast?
Breakfast by far is very special at 1900 PF. Some great food & fantastic character interaction too. I remember taking a photo prior to entering there as well... Dinner : food wise to me was good, not great, but the stepsisters were hilarious...LoL fighting over my son's hand..LoL

You also said that you'll be heading to Akershus....You can get your fill with all the princesses there if that makes any sense....I kinda like 1900 PF though...Good luck in whichever you choose.

It depends. When was the last time you ate at CRT? When do you plan on going back? CRT is can't-miss experience but it isn't something to be done every trip unless you only go every six years. For us, it's a place to eat for a special occasion. I haven't been since I was five, so on our net trip, this is likely a meal we will do.

1900 Park Faire is a great option if the above doesn't apply to you.

I am glad you chose 1900 PF. There is something very special about eating in the Castle, and for a 10 YO girl I would just do it.

With that said, Akershus breakfast is pretty darn nice, so if you find that as you plan your meals you need to stretch them out, your DD will still have a good experience there. And she meets Belle!!! When we book Akershus we choose PPO if possible and enjoy the stroll through Epcot in the early morning. It is very nice.

1900 PF is a hoot, and if, after you have chosen your primary Princess meal you want a fun buffet, this is the one I would suggest. The Tremaine family is hysterical, and if you engage them, they will be the highlight of your trip.

Enjoy this very special trip, and whatever you do, do not worry that you must choose what we suggest to make your trip magical. Your DD will have a wonderful experience no matter where you choose to eat.
