With all this "excitement" over CRT & the new pricing I am wondering how many people will alter their plans. I am glad that we have our reservations for Dec. - unless they make MAJOR changes to the menu it will probably be our last time eating there.

Are you going to change your plans?

We just ate there a little over a week ago. My children loved it but I don't think it is worth the money with the increase. We were on the dining plan and if it is 2 credits we would not go back.

Nope; did it once and already thought it was too expensive and overrated. This just cinches it!

We're taking our two oldest granddaughters in Feb (their first trip to WDW) but we probably won't take them again. We'll take Makayla in six or eight years. It's not something we'll be doing frequently, though.

But with that price increase it includes a photo package with 4-4x6,1-6x8 and then 1-6x8 of the Castle in a themed photo holder, that's a $30 value!

Disney is really taking advantage of the Princesses. We (me and DH) wanted to have dinner there (without the Princesses). For $40 pp, the menu would have to be pretty special. Not interested in any photo package.

My actual response would be, No, I have eaten breakfast there and is not worth the new price.

Just talked to my DD about this and told her about the price increase. She said "mom, the food's not that good and the princesses are just women wearing costumes. Don't waste the money" She's 9 going on 17!!!

I bet the Princesses don't mind one bit!

The pricing does seem to reflect how popular the event is. To some extent, as popular as these meals are, they've been horribly underpriced up until now.

I altered our plans today when I made ADR's and found out it was now 2TS credits. NOPE, we won't be doing it.

I also wanted to add, that what was explained to me is different from this -

What I was told today is that the photo pack is an EXTRA $29.99, it is not included in the new meal price. IF that is wrong someone please clarify, but that is what I was told. The CM said that CRT is now a "signature" meal, it is now 2 TS credits for those on the dining plan, and the new price for dinner (which is what I was inquiring about) is $39.99/ $24.99. She said that the characters/princesses will be there, however, Cindy, would be at the entrance for a photo op with her, and you could purchase the photo package during the meal, for $29.99, she also said that starting Feb. 1st, you'd also get a limited edition lithograph.

For us, our DS who is 6, is not into the princesses anyway, this was for my b-day. I don't think it's worth using 2TS credits, so I didn't book it. For all those with little princesses in training, it's a shame it's so $$$$.

We've been to CRT twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The breakfast wasn't worth the price they were charging before the increase! Of course, you aren't paying for the food and we realize that. We thought it was a little high for the food but paid to be in the castle. We are going to CRT in December and it will probably be our last time there. The new price for breakfast I think is ridiculous. They are just cramming those pics into the price and forcing you to buy them. I rarely ever get the pictures sold before meals anyway so there is no way I'm going to be forced to buy them.

How do we find out for sure if the Princesses are going to be at dinner? When I called this morning I was told they will only be appearing at lbreakfast and lunch. The CM put me on hold to check and that's what she said when she came back.

I'd rather have dinner, but I HAVE to have the princesses!

I have an ADR there Dec 14th for lunch with my mom and another one for lunch Jan 7th, but that will probably be the last time I eat in the castle. I can take my own pictures thank you, Cindy won't be upstairs making rounds, the service was bad when I was there in Sept, and the food is not that great. No way am I paying $30.00+ to just eat in the castle. If my GD had never been, I might pay it to go just once, but we ate there with her this past January (breakfast) and she and I are eating there again this January (lunch), so we probably won't be back.

Now explaining that, then you are getting your money's worth.

I think the poll should have included a couple more options like "I've never been and will go once or more" "I've been and will never go again" "I'll only go for a special occasion" etc...

Cause some who've never been will probably go once to say they've done it...some who've gone many times, might never go again or will only go for a special occasion.

For me, I've been a few times and will NOT ever go again unless in a few years one of my DDs beg me to do it for their birthday or something like that.

Well I suppose this will be our first and last time eating at the castle this coming November. Wow that is a big increase in price! Yes, if pics are included then the price doesnt look too bad. But I would never pay $30 for breakfast!

I will make sure we take tons of pictures while we are there! LOL

Maybe with this price increase folks will finally no longer have to make a big project of calling in at the precise moment the reservations for CRT become available in order to have a chance.

We will still be going for breakfast this coming May, as we have a DD that will be 5 when we go. It does stink that it will take two tableservices (on the dining plan), but knowing how excited she will be will make up for it.

I was originally hoping to eat both breakfast and supper there, but will go for just breakfast. I think that it is a magical part of WDW for us, and will sacrifice the 2 tableservices for it.

But I will also hope that when we go back in 2007 that people will get their heads out of you know where and have it go back to the way that it was.

Hmmm... well, as long as there are enough folks who feel as you (reasonably) do, "knowing how excited she will be will make up for it," responsible managers would have to have their, "heads you know where," to reduce the price. :confused3

I voted yes......take my credit card because it is our first time and I am looking at it as a special meal for my girls (ages 10 and 6). The good thing is, we are going in January before the price increase, but even if we weren't, I would have probably booked it anyway.
