CRT--impossible or a slim chance?

So, we are planning a trip to WDW in August--it looks like we'll only be doing one park, the MK (we did our big trip last year). ANY chance at all of getting CRT for breakfast or lunch for Sat Aug 16? That is the only day we can go due to family obligations. Is this ADR still impossible to get after the 180 day mark?

Hi. I'm not going to claim to be an expert on this topic, but ever since they changed CRT to requiring 2 dining credits and increasing the price to something out of this world and sticking princesses at every meal, it seems that I see many happy messages on these boards about obtaining an ADR less than 180 days out.

Do I sound bitter? Sorry. We had a wonderful dinner in the castle in July 2005 when it was only 1 credit and my boys did not have to pose with princesses and we didn't have to buy photos.

DO call ASAP. All they can do is tell you no. And then keep calling. People do cancel ressies!

1) Very few things in the universe are "impossible".
2) However, they are many "unlikely".
3) Keep calling, and you might turn an "unlikely" into a "mission accomplished".

Thanks to a tip on this board I was able to get a breakfast reservation at CRT for a few weeks from now. I had given up calling but someone here posted that some slots had opened up.

I think a lot of it is luck--you happen to call when a cancellation has opened. I ready that the 45 day mark is a good time to call because that's when packages have to be cancelled.

That is so true.:thumbsup2

It's probably more likely for lunch than breakfast. Last year we added a CRT lunch after we had started planning our vacation. Probably one hundred days or so prior to the trip.

Keep trying.

Don't give up yet.... I am actually probably going to cancel my August 17th breakfast @ CRT in the next week or so since our plans have changed.... there may be others like me that are tweaking their plans and an ADR might open up..... Good luck!!!! :thumbsup2
