Crt id???

Here's my issue....my friend booked CRT for me, as a surprise. But she booked it when she was booking her other ADRs in August. She paid for it, it's in her name, but she gave me the conf number. Well....I just talked to Disney Dining and they said that the person who purchased the ADR has to be present...they do it that way in order to do away with third party bookings. Any thoughts as to how to rectify this one??? I guess I could see if my friend is going to be in the MK that morning, but that kind of seems like a huge pain.

They checked my id last year to make sure I was the person whose name the reservation was in. I'm not sure if that still occurs, but I remember thinking it was odd.

Ah yes... HOwie's Angels made it a real pain for everyone not in their lovely group didnt they... lol

Maybe you can coordinate them canceling and you booking it...

Oh yeah...I remember Howie's Angels. In fact I did mention that to the CM..she just chuckled. Oh well....what type ID do you think they would ask for?? If it was just a room key, I might be able to work that. But a photo ID would be a bit tough..

I went last June and December and they didn't ask for ID. Just gave my name at the podium. Maybe it depends on the CM??

We were there in March and i had to show ID. Can't remember if it was just my KTTW card or if I had to show my DL.

I thought I saw on some posts where people did a conference call and the CM simultaneously canceled and rebooked under a new name and res#

Have your friends call and explain the situation to a CM at the Dining Hotline, and have them change it to your name even though she paid for it. They won't mind...it was a gift. Easy Peasy...

I booked CRT for DS and DDIL for their anniversary June 4.
Booked with all our other ADRs and I was not there. They did not have to show ID and were fine. I assume they just gave my name when they checked in.

Thanks everyone. I think I'll most likely show up and give her name...if they give me a hard time about not having any ID, I'll just speak to a manager. If that doesn't work then they'll have to issue a credit to my friend. I spoke to her today...she says they never mentioned having IDs when you arrive. I figure that if I have the confirmation number then that's all they should need.

FYI - I just got back and did not have to show any ID for our CRT ressie. Just gave them my name and walked right in to have DD's pic taken with Cinderella.
