i am going in august 04 and want to take my mom for dinner. how soon do they allow you to make PS arrangements? also, is there a dress code for dinner? thanks!

Just wanted to let you know. I think breakfast is the one meal that is the most sought after. We're leaving in 9 days (WOO HOOOOO :bounce: ) and I just started reading about CRT and realized it would be something we would enjoy. We called just 10 days before our arrival and got the PS of our choice for lunch. I don't think getting lunch and dinner are difficult at all.

Exactly 90 days before at 7.00am ( FL time) when the reservations for dining open. Talk very fast...say any time for x people on x date.

Start calling a couple of minutes before to get through the automated system of questions. It is pot luck .

Start for a date at the beginning of your holiday so you have plenty of tries to get it!

Good Luck

Denise

i am planning on staying concierge. if i ask them to make PS arrangements, do they have a better chance i wonder? has anyone booked early and gotten concierge to get PS before the 90 days?

Getting dinner is hard. I called exactly 90 days out at 6:58 am, and had to settle for a dinner PS an hour sooner than I wanted because that was all that was left :(

Lunch is probably slightly easier.

Ok, maybe it's just lunch that's easy then? Or maybe they open up a few more PSs as the date gets closer? We didn't even try until 10 days ahead of the date and got the first day and time we asked for. Maybe we're just lucky! :)

Note: Only SLIGHTLY. Yes, it used to be very easy. Even a couple years ago, I made a lunch PS by showing up that morning, and got one. But now-last year I called 2 hours after they opened exactly 60 days out-there were few times left, even for a solo diner. A few months ago, I called 1 hour after they opened 60 days out (when will I learn to set my alarm and call immediately?!) and got a table for 2 only because there'd already been one cancellation. So I had no choice of time. CM told me that now, people who call and don't get breakfast go ahead and reserve any other meal immediately.

i better mark it on my calendar then and call as soon as i am allowed to. i have several other PS to make for the trip and hopefully concierge will assist in saving me time. thanks for all of your answers.

the lunch menu has about 7-8 entrees on it and dinner has about 11-12 different things

they save 20% of the tables for same day reservations......so if you can't get what you want by calling in advance, just call the dining line that morning....

and when I made a ressie for 4th of July I found that they did release some tables about 3 weeks before the day....kinda like in waves.....

It depends on what season or day you are looking for....on usual days, I can make PSes a week in advance, but this week we're totally booked up....
