CRT Help

Ok, I have been given conflicting info about CRT. We are using our dining credits this time and I have been told by 1 CM that gratuity was included and 1 CM that said I have to pay it seperately. The only other time we went, we didn't use our dining credits, we paid OOP for the meal. I want to be prepared.

Is there anything special I can request at breakfast, we will be celebrating our 8th Anniversary, well and since it is Christmas Morning, I wanted to surprise Dh?

Yes, gratuities are included as per the 2010 Dining Guide:

Character Dining
The Disney Dining Plan can be used for Character Dining experiences. One (1) Table Service meal for each person participating in the
Character Dining experience will be redeemed from your meal plan balance, unless otherwise noted. Gratuities are not included.
Please Note: Two Table Service meals for each person dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table will be redeemed from their meal plan
balance. Gratuities are included.Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Merchandise or photo imaging products that may be offered at Character Dining experiences
are not included, except at Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. The Disney Dining Plan is unavailable for
Guests under the age of 3, but they may share from an adult plate at no charge, or a meal may be purchased from the menu. The price of
the meal will be added to your bill. Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available.

Yes, Gratuity is included. That is so special, have a magical Christmas. Make sure to add the celebration to your reservation. I celebrated my birthday in Sept there and got a cupcake & a card signed by the Princesses. Have a fabulous trip!

Honestly, both CMs are technically right. They are included, but I remember on our receipt when we were paying that it mentioned that extra gratuities (to your discretion) then those are not included on the dining plan. Like if you felt they deserved more than the percentage taken out, then Disney is not going to pay the difference.

I have been known to do that for exceptional service, back when gratuity was part of the DDP and I still give a larger tip anyway for exceptional service.

djp, they have our anniversary noted 3 times on all our ressies, I don't know why We ate there for our 5th Anniversary and were given engraved champagne flutes.
