How is the lunch?

Is it still the same face characters as for breakfast? Mostly princesses? Cinderella for sure?

Easier to get than breakfast?

Thanks!

CRT is only a character meal for breakfast, after that it is just a restaurant. It is much easier to get ressies for lunch or dinner.

Im sorry, maybe they changed something and I missed it. :confused3 It has been a few years since I did lunch. We just did breakfast on Saturday! It was wonderful, fyi. There was Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, etc. :flower: We also saw the princess meals at akershus (sp) in Norway, but we didnt eat there.

Sorry if I gave you bad info! Hopefully someone else will help you out!

CRT Breakfast and lunch ARE both Character meals; dinner is not. Lunch became a character meal earlier this year due to the popularity of the CRT breakfast. Characters are always Cinderella and some of her princess friends. You might see Fairy Godmother in the lobby with a couple of mice. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Wendy, Belle have been known to stop by.

My family and I just returned and did CRT for lunch on 10/1 with Cinderella, mary Poppins, Belle, Princess Aurora and Snow White with the Fairy Godmother in the lobby. The food was probably one of the best meals we had and my DD7 had a great time and even my DS5 got into it. I would definitely recommend CRT for lunch.

What did you eat?

CRT for lunch is a great choice. I have not been there since they started the character meal for lunch but I have always enjoyed the food for lunch. Now I need to remember what I would get at lunch.

CRT lunch became a character meal in June of this year.

The menu includes appetizer (no choice, they bring a plate of a few little selections), entree (there are about 5 choices including salmon, pork tenderloin, "major domo pie" which is a beef, potato, puff pastry thing, a turkey or ham sandwich of some sort, can't remember what else), and a dessert of a blueberry thing topped with lemon ice cream. No choice for dessert at lunch, either.

Kids menu has an appetizer of veggies with dip, choice of entree (pretty standard kid stuff), and a dessert of vanilla ice cream topped with a chocolate crown. Complete menu at www.allearsnet.com if you want to take a look. Click "Dining", "Magic Kingdom", "Cinderella's Royal Table - lunch".

Characters have been reported to be Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Mary Poppins, Wendy from Peter Pan. I think Belle is less common at CRT.

Apparently there have been some surly servers lately. I sincerely hope we don't get one because I have been getting really angry about all the reports of bad service. There is no reason for the servers to be snippy with guests. We are going to lunch at CRT in two weeks and I will be posting a report when we get home. I am cautiously looking forward to it!

We just had CRT lunch on 9/28 and loved it! My DH said the food was a little too "sophisticated" for him, but I enjoyed every bite! We had an excellent server, David, and he stayed in character the whole time, m'lord-ing and m'lady-ing the whole time, even rolling his r's :goodvibes The princesses were nice, my DD got shy and so she wasn't interacting well with them, but I had a blast! Snow White was the best, she was soooo good at being Snow White! Mary Poppins was good too, she even made me feel good; I almost blushed when she asked "Where did you get such a beautiful dress?" and dd told her I made it, and she turned to me and said "Well done," simply, but exactly the way Mary would have done it. It was as if a celebrity had noticed :rotfl: Hey, I had been up since 4 am :rotfl2:

The only real downside to the experience was that we had a 2:15 ADR, but didn't get seated until almost 3. The lobby we had to wait in was crowded, and very little seating. The Fairy Godmother didn't arrive until about 2:45, and she wasn't exceptional. But the good thing about the lateness, is that we weren't rushed, and spent some time talking to Sir David about the impending weather, and Dallas, which he had been to once and told us the story :)

It was a good time. Would we do it again? I would, but I really didn't like that long wait before being seated, and I know DH wouldn't risk the wait for sure.

Thanks for the positive report! :flower:

Perhaps we will have David as our server! Perhaps we should REQUEST him, then I can tell him some "friends" of ours from Dallas told us to ask for him since his service was so impeccable! :teeth:

Do they have the same Fairy Godmother at lunch as they do for breakfast? We ate breakfast there with my GD in January and loved the Fairy Godmother. She was so personable, never got in a hurry, spent quite a bit of time talking to each person (adults as well as kids), and stayed in character so well. That afternoon during the parade, she spotted my GD looked so excited and yelled out "Princess Aubriee". The reason she remembered was probaby just that my GD's name is unusual, but my GD was thrilled and everyone around us wanted to know how she knew her name. My GD smugly told them 'because she's the Fairy Godmother. She knows everything.' In Sept I took my son and D-I-L for breakfast in the castle and the same Fairy Godmother was there and was just as wonderful and sweet. My D-I-L had her sign a heart shaped satin Princess pillow and the Fairy Godmother told her how to take care of it, so it wouldn't get smudged and also told her to make sure Cinderella saw her t-shirt as she loved stuff like that. (My D-I-L was wearing a t-shirt that said something about 'handsome prince wanted, only those with a castle may apply' or something like that.) The funny thing was that Cinderella was the only Princess to notice my D-I-L's t-shirt and she did make a big deal over it, so the Fairly Godmother did apparently know her pretty well.

I'm doing lunch at CRT with my mom in Dec and would really like to see the same Fairy Godmother.

By the way in Sept the Fairy Godmother was the only character that was the same from my January trip. I thought all the Princesses were different, so when I got back home I compared my pictures and sure enough Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Cindy, and Mary Poppins were all five portrayed by different girls, than they were in January (talk about staff turnover!).
